Vince had wrapped his monster hand around Chronos, nearly squishing him. He provided the distraction needed for her to escape, as Foxy took her place.

Foxy nodded before yet again running up to where Chronos was, but this time using  one of  his other quintessence related abilities. Alone, this man is wayyy stronger than his daughter, and Chronos really didn't expect that.

Chronos had to take the powerful hit, since he was confined in the huge fabric hand. He got a fatal punch in the eye as he screamed in pain. The glass from his clock eye, that everyone thought worked like a real eye, shattered into pieces, scattering across the floor. He managed to escape Vince, but stumbled to stay afloat in the air. Chester stayed airborne in case he decided to pull something, but it didn't seem very likely.

"You IDIOTS! You've ruined EVERYTHING!"

Carlie put her arm out. "Everyone, stand down. I actually wanna ask Chronos something." she said, stepping toward her, putting down her bayard. (hah- voltron)

"Chronos, I know we're mid battle and shit..but coming from a one time warper(?) to another...can you...elaborate? I..actually wanna know if there's a backstory, since you did say everything. Is there a significance to your clock eye?" she knelt beside him, actually seeming interested.

Chester crossed his arms and mumbled to himself. "What is she doing...?"

"Carlie! What are you doing!? He's insane!!" Tarento yelled. Timothy nudged him, shaking his head.

"Just trust me, I may be 15 but know what I'm doing." She said, dead staring Tarento. She then looked at Chronos again, with a reassuring look on her face, which to her surprise, actually brought out  a completely different side of Chronos, which..actually answered her question.

"You idiot...you have the courage to come up to me like that.." He laughed a little, covering his hand over his broken eye. He lowered himself slowly before he was finally on his feet, only a few feet from Carlie.

Carlie smiled a bit. "I do. I mean, me and my father have fought..many different types of people and beings..but nobody who's..actually like us." she began. "So when I saw the clock eye break, and your reaction to it happening...I wondered what the significance to it was, or is really." She smiled.

She really could tell that a non-hostile side of Chronos was coming out. Meanwhile  everyone else stood there as speechless as ever, wondering how in the world Carlie was able  to actually get someone to..open up rather than fight.

"Carlie...that's your name right? It sounds familiar. I wonder how I've never seen you before, you hide under that girl's notebook all the time and I never notice you. You make me feel a little bit bad for coming at you just now..."

He rubbed his neck, a red blush appearing slowly on his face. Chester smacked his face and groaned, while the others stayed confused. They all knew, however, about Chronos's split personality. This situation, although, caught them off guard.

"Chronos, this might be a bit contradictory, but...you alright man? I know you heard me talking to you as you tried to legitimately cut my head off." Timothy stepped forward, trying to put his two cents in Carlie's persuasion plan. In truth, all of them were only fighting cause he was. He had the powers to deplete their existence, and he was still their friend, so they didn't want to hurt him a lot.

Chester, on the other hand, was being him and just went all out. He was the overprotective one of them all, and unknowingly on that type of level with Foxy.

"I'm fine, I'm just clearly on the edge. I'm not going to do anything else, if you hadn't seen what these two had done to me. Carlie, how did they even know you existed? I've never seen you in any of their parallel universes."
