The two humans on call seemed to be enjoying themselves. The girl was playing music, and the boy was simply just trying to make her laugh at every chance he got.

"Joe come on, I'm trying to take a drink!" She laughed, basically almost spatting out her tea onto her bed that she just put new sheets on.

"Well, that's on you Madi! " He laughed, only trying to make her laugh even more.

Things seemed almost normal, until their call randomly hung up. Madi tried calling back, but it didn't work. Joe did the same which only gave the same reaction.

When it finally started working, it wasn't the same. The call was constantly glitching out, making them sound like robots to each other. It amused them both for a few seconds before their visions black out, not a light or person in sight. They both shrieked until they could open their eyes again.

But what they were expecting to see, wasn't what they thought they would see.

Madi could hear screeches that sounded like her voice coming from the opposite end of the call, when it wasn't even her screaming. She then opened her eyes, only to realize that she wasn't even in her body, or her house for that matter.

What just happened?

She looked over to Joe's phone, only to notice that her body, or what she assumed to be Joe in her body, was the cause of the screaming.

"Jo-"

Joe continued to screech.

"Joe-"

Joe was STILL screeching. Why...

"JOSEPH!" Madi finally yelled. "What happened to us? Why aren't we in our actual bodies?!"

Joe rolled his eyes, or rather Madi's eyes, leaning back on her navy blue metal bed frame, and crossing his arms. "Well how am I supposed to know? I'm literally just as confused as you are Madi."

She sighed and observed herself as Joe moved. "This is confusing, you are me, and-"

"You are me. But will I still call you Madi? Yes."

Madi looked at herself, her face scrunching up in disturbance. If this is how things were going to go, she really wouldn't mind. But the only problem was that they were still a good distance apart. And in completely different environments.

"Joe, this is weird. I'm gonna end up calling you Josephine." He looked up and started laughing, covering his mouth.

"Josephine!? Why? Just call me Joey!"

"But Josephine is more fitting!"

"Well then I'm calling you Matthias!"
