A/N This is the final part of my little multi-part story so I hope you enjoy it! The title belongs to Ruelle and the characters to Cassandra Clare. Enjoy!

Alec woke up, panting, nightmares filling his vision. He knew that this wedding was not going to be perfect, but he wanted to be bound to Magnus, to completely belong to him without having the Clave in the way. This wedding would be a union of hearts as well as making a statement to the Clave: true love can conquer anything.

Alec was so lost in thought that he jumped when someone touched his shoulder. "Are you okay, honey?" Magnus asked, sitting up from the bed, his hair a mess thanks to Alec last night. "Yes, Magnus, I'm great," Alec replied, leaning in for a quick kiss. "Having second thoughts?" Magnus teased. "Never," Alec smiled and climbed out of bed. "We better send fire messages to the people who should be here," Alec suggested and Magnus nodded, snapping his fingers and sending invites out to Jace, Izzy, Clary, Simon, Maia, Bat, Lilly, Raphael, Elliot, Catarina, Tessa and Jem. "It'll be perfect," Magnus whispered and pulled Alec down again, kissing him breathless.

Jace was carrying boxes of decorations along with Simon. Jace, Izzy, Clary and Simon had decided that they'd decorate Magnus' loft whilst Magnus had dragged Alec to the shops to buy him a tuxedo. Working quickly, Jace and Simon made sure that the loft was picture-perfect as Clary and Izzy baked a cake. Catarina popped in at the last moment to magic up a variety of foods. Now the evening would be perfect.

Magnus had convinced Alec to buy a navy blue tuxedo that brought out his eyes. Magnus was going with a gold tuxedo and when the two of them started talking about rings, they found a perfect jewellery store and Magnus picked out some simple rings. "Do you like these, Alexander" Magnus asked, showing his fiancé the rings. "I love them," Alec replied and waving a hand over the rings, Magnus had 'Aku Cinta Kamu' etched on them. "I love you," Alec translated and beamed up at Magnus. "And I love you, Alexander," Magnus replied.

When Magnus and Alec had gotten home, they were bombarded with hugs, mainly from Izzy and then they were blindfolded by Jace. Izzy led them to the bedroom so that they didn't see any of the decorations and allowed them to get changed. It took exceptional self control for Magnus to not touch Alec. Typically they wouldn't even be this close to each other a few minutes away from marriage but this marriage wasn't typical. It was too special. Once changed, Magnus called, "We're ready!"

Jace and Tessa came into the bedroom and Jace looked at Alec with so much pride that Magnus looked away, letting the two brothers have a happy moment. "So," Jace said, "The hallway from here to the lounge is your aisle and I stand as suggenes to Alec Lightwood." In Shadowhunter culture, a suggenes is something similar to a best man or a bride's maid and now, as Magnus watched Jace lead Alec out of the bedroom, Magnus couldn't describe his feeling for Jace as anything other than affection. And as for Alec, it was all love and hope and elation and words couldn't explain what Magnus felt for Alec.

"Ready, Magnus?" Tessa asked, smiling sweetly. "Definitely," Magnus replied and Tessa held out a hand. Magnus took it and the two of them walked towards the lounge (which acted as the altar) and when they got there, Magnus stood facing Alec, their hands interlinked, eyes looking into one and other's. Izzy stood with the Shadowhunter Codex in her hands and the rest of their friends formed a tight circle around them. "Let's begin," Izzy said, sniffling her happy tears.

Izzy said a few words that seemed planned in a short amount of time; they were, "So I'm bad at making emotional speeches but I'll try. There haven't been many marriages between Downworlders and Shadowhunters in our world, but right now, we stand ready to celebrate a marriage between a Shadowhunter and Downworlder proudly. Let this moment help our world turn better." And then, after one look at the Codex, she said, "Alec Lightwood, hast thou found the one thy soul loves?"

Alec looked into Magnus' eye one more time and in them he saw their past, present and future. "I have found him," Alec said, eyes shining, "And I will not let him go." Izzy smiled brightly and turned to Magnus. "Magnus Bane, hast thou found the one thy soul loves?" Magnus looked straight at Alec and in a voice so proud, he said, "I have found him and I will not let him go."

Izzy shut her book, crying softly. "Go one," she urged, "Get the rings on." And Magnus and Alec did exactly that. After giving each other the rings, Jace handed Magnus a stele. Magnus took it and Alec curled his hand over Magnus', helping him trace the wedded union rune onto Alec's forearm. The one over the heart would be done in private. And as Magnus drew the rune, Alec spoke the vows of Nephilim.

"Love flashes out like fire, the brightest kind of flame. Many waters cannot quench love, nor can floods drown it. Now place me as a seal over thine heart, as a seal over thine arm: For love is strong as death. And so we are bound: stronger than flame, stronger than water, stronger than death itself." The rune was done, the vows were done and Magnus and Alec were looking at each other as if no one could tear them away from one and other. And then Magnus whispered, "My love for yours, my heart for yours, my soul for yours, Alexander. Now and for all time."

And then a sobbing Izzy, smiling through her happy tears, mumbled, "Alec and Magnus, you are now married, let us celebrate." Everyone was laughing and Raphael even cracked the smallest smile as Magnus and Alec folded in together, embracing each other and kissing each other. "Told you it'd be perfect," Magnus whispered and Alec nodded before whispering back, "It is perfect, Magnus. I love you." Magnus smiled against Alec's neck. "I love you too, dear husband," Magnus muttered and Alec chucked. "Dear husband," he echoed. Now nothing could separate them. nothing at all. They were bound for life, tied with the knot of utmost unconditional love.

A/N What did you guys think about this wedding? Let me know in the comments? The vows and stuff were all made up by Cassandra Clare, I did not come up with them and if you want to read the Malec wedding that was written by Cassie, check out the Dark Artifices trilogy. Really hope you guys enjoyed this multi-part story. Please comment, vote and share; best compliment I could get as a writer! Thank you!

Lot's of love, IC XXXX
