The car ride to the cinema was a lot more fun than the one to the restaurant. Once again, Alec helped Magnus out of the car and smiled brilliantly. "It's a cheesy romance, but I could change it to some other movie if you wanted," Alec offered but Magnus thought a cheesy movie would give them more time to maybe talk. "Cheesy movie it is," Magnus confirmed and Alec spoke to the receptionist (who was all over him) and led Magnus to the cafe.

"What should we get?" Alec asked, running his hands over a packet of Skittles. "I don't mind," Magnus said. "What kind of popcorn do you like?" Alec tried a different route. "Caramel," Magnus said a little sheepishly. "We'll get a large bucket of caramel popcorn to share and then pick out some sweets and drinks you want?" Alec offered generously. Magnus looked around the shop; he might be able to afford the things here.

"I'll pay then," Magnus said. Alec looked at him with narrow eyes and Magnus was worried that he'd done something extremely wrong. "No way is that happening," Alec shook his head, "I'm going to get the popcorn and you are going to pick out how many ever packets of sweets you want and how many ever drinks you want and you are not allowed to pay," Alec finished sternly and before Magnus could protest, he was off getting a large bucket of caramel popcorn.

In the end, Alec had brought a giant bag of caramel popcorns, a bar of Twix and a can of coke for Magnus and a packet of Skittles plus an orange smoothie for himself. Balancing most of the food expertly, Magnus and Alec made their way to their cinema room and they were a bit late. The name of the movie was already displayed on screen: 'Five Feet Apart'.

Magnus and Alec were watching the movie in a fair amount of quietness and were only whispering now and then. The movie was a bit slow but it wasn't too bad and when the half the film was over, so was all the popcorn. "Would you like me to get some more popcorn?" Alec whispered. Magnus shook his head. "No, it's okay," he said and Alec smiled before interlinking their fingers. Magnus gave a small gasp at the contact but he didn't move away. He didn't want to.

And finally, the movie finished and the time happened to be 10pm. Magnus and Alec made their way out after most people were gone, their hands in each other's and after a quick 'thank you' to the receptionist, they exited the theatre, boarding Alec's BMW and driving, mysteriously, in the opposite direction to Magnus' home.

"Where are we going?" Magnus asked, panicked, extreme theories jumping about in his head. "My place," Alec said simply, "Only fair you see my apartment as well." "Oh..." Magnus said and Alec shot him a smile. "I can drop you back at yours if you want," Alec said and Magnus didn't know what to say.

He wanted to see Alec's place but he also wanted to get home, tonight's recent activities overwhelming him. He needed to think over everything that had happened in the past week. "Don't be scared to say what you want," Alec prompted him, "My apartment isn't going anywhere, you can pop around someday later if you want." And then Alec was turning the car back around to Magnus'. "Are you sure?" Magnus asked. Alec smiled at him sweetly, "Of course."

Magnus' home loomed ahead and Alec was rather sorry. He didn't want the night to end; it had been too much of a fabulous date, probably one of Alec's best date. Alec paused in Magnus' doorway. "Er," Magnus said, "Do you want to come in or should you go?" Alec ignored the question and asked one of his own to Magnus. "Have you kissed anyone before?"

Magnus paused with his mouth hanging a little open. Alec was going to laugh in Magnus' face because his dating life has been crap. Perfect. Magnus shook his head. "Okay," Alec said. "Okay?" Magnus echoed. "Come here," Alec said and grasped Magnus' elbow, tugging him towards Alec. Magnus was intoxicated by being so close to Alec but Alec brought him even closer and Magnus gasped as Alec's lips pressed against his own softly.

Alec didn't let Magnus go. Magnus didn't make any move to suggested he wanted to be let go off. Instead, they kissed, right outside Magnus' home, forgetting Magnus had a home at all. The kiss was slow and gentle, with Magnus shivering at unexpected touches of intimacy: when Alec smoothed a hand down Magnus' bicep or when he used Magnus' belt loops to pull him even closer. And after more moments of clutching at each other, both of them refusing to let go, Alec parted but didn't go far from Magnus.

"Now you have kissed someone," Alec muttered and Magnus smiled. "Yeah," he said and Alec kissed Magnus' cheek. "I'll be on my way then," Alec said and walked to his car backwards, his eyes still on Magnus. And then, leaning against his car, crossing his arms over his chest (which made his biceps look incredible) Alec winked and said softly but so that Magnus could hear, "Call me?"

Before Magnus even had the chance to stutter or blush, Alec was in the driver's seat of the BMW and had backed out of Magnus' house, leaving Magnus feeling special, something he hadn't ever felt before. As Magnus went inside his house, his skin tingled and Alec's presence, words and kiss hung in the air, giving Magnus the courage he needed to look forward to a beautifully crafted future.
