Mi Amor - My Love

A/N Mi Amor is Spanish for My Love. You'll see why that's the title when you read the one-shot! Hope y'all enjoy! All characters belong to Cassandra Clare.

Magnus has been around for four-hundred years and in those years he has mastered a few languages. Alec has mastered English and can speak some vague French. Magnus thought it'd be a wonderful idea to teach his boyfriend some other languages. They had started with some Spanish. 

"Okay, good, Alexander, bien hecho!" Magnus praised and Alec beamed. "That means 'well done' right?" Alec inquired. "Certainly does," Magnus confirmed and shifted lightly so that he could card through Alec's hair. "And can you tell me what this means: eres hermoso?" Alec blushed slightly. "You said I was beautiful," Alec murmured and received a kiss from Magnus in approval. "That's right," Magnus whispered, "Qué tal si nos divertimos ahora?"

"What does that mean?" Alec questioned. "How about we have some fun now?" Magnus translated, "It involves a bed." Alec sputtered. "I'm joking, we'll do that later and one final translation for today," Magnus smiled, "What does 'estas delicioso' mean?" Alec blushed. "This is not what kids get taught at school I hope," Alec muttered. Magnus beamed, proud of the phrase he chose. "Tell me what it means, Alexander," Magnus prompted. "You erm said that I was erm delicious," Alec answered, screwing his face up. "Correct!" Magnus exclaimed and rewarded Alec with a kiss.

The next day

"You've gotten brilliant at Spanish, my dear," Magnus said as both of them got ready for a Downworlder - Shadowhunter Alliance meeting. And then, Magnus exclaimed "Holy sh.. Esa es una camisa sexy!", eyes going wide when Alec put on his shirt; a beautiful navy blue shirt that brought out his eyes fabulously. Magnus was a bit embarrassed to admit that the sight of Alec in such a fitting shirt made his mouth go dry. "What did you say, Magnus?" Alec asked. "I said that your shirt is very sexy and moreover, eres sexy usando eso," Magnus purred, placing a searing kiss on Alec's lips. "Does that mean 'you're sexy wearing that?'" Alec asked, blushing. "Yes, it does, my dear, now let's go, otherwise we'll be late," Magnus said.

Magnus sat opposite Alec in the meeting, and next to Izzy. "Tu hermano es una comida," Magnus stated and watched as Alec turned light red. He smiled to himself. No one else was there yet so Izzy and Clary decided to join them until the other Downworlders came along. Magnus was surprised when Clary chocked on her water. 

"You understand Spanish, biscuit?" Magnus inquired. Clary nodded and Alec blanched. "Wait... Clary, what did he say?" Izzy asked, feeling left out. Alec shook his head but Clary leaned over and whispered in Izzy's ear, "He said that your brother is a meal." Izzy laughed and Alec sat with his head in his hands. Magnus felt bad, but only a tiny bit. This was rather an enjoyable conversation.

After around ten more minutes of Magnus saying some extremely rude stuff into Alec's ears, other Downworlder members started to arrive. Clary and Izzy exited and Alec stood up, Magnus shooting him a reassuring smile. "So what's been happening in the Downworld?" Alec asked, "Anything important that should be known?" "No," said Camille, who had now successfully gotten control of the New York vampire clan again, "But we know what's been happening between warlocks and Shadowhunters don't we?" She said, giving Magnus and Alec a pointed look. 

"Solo ignórala," Magnus said and Camille snickered. "Oh, now they have their own language," she muttered and Alec shot her a furious glance. "Miss Belcourt," Alec started, "It is none of your business what Magnus and I do and if you must know its just what any typical couple would do. If you have any issues with that, I highly suggest you deal with it and I would just like to point out that Magnus said 'ignore her' in Spanish and it is really not our own language." Magnus let out a breath of pride. "Eso estuvo caliente, cariño" Magnus grinned and instead of blushing, Alec said proudly, "Gracias!"

"What did you just say, Magnus?" Luke questioned. "I said-" Alec cut Magnus off quickly, "So back to the meeting. If we are done discussing private matters, anything that should actually be acknowledged?" "The Seelie Courts are happy with this Alliance and we are happy to stay in it. That's a promise from our Queen," Meliorn confirmed after being asked to convey the news of the Alliance last week to his Queen. "That's great," Magnus beamed, "Obviously the warlocks are happy with it-" And when Camille was about to interject, Magnus waved a dismissive hand, "And Lady Belcourt, I do not mean that because of Alec and I's private life; I mean that because the majority of warlocks think the Alliance is a good idea. If you have doubts, do speak to Catarina or Ragnor or Tessa." Camille shut her mouth in a tight line.

30 minutes later

"So that is that," Alec said and got up. Meliorn followed lead, shook Alec's hand and parted with a 'See you next week Mr. Lightwood'. Luke went next, smiling at Alec. "Thanks for what you are doing, Alec; means a lot after how Valentine treated me," Luke said and before Alec could say anything, he exited. Camille stood next and with a very cold glare, went out of the library, not bothering with a goodbye. "Maybe send Raphael next time!" Magnus called. Alec playfully swatted his arm and then said, "Ready to go?" "Of course, miel," Magnus smiled and with interlinked fingers, Magnus and Alec Portalled back to the loft.

Once there, Magnus pulled Alec by the elbows and kissed him, dragging him to the couch. Alec obliged and fell on top of Magnus. "Mi amor," Magnus murmured, kissing Alec's neck. Alec made a pleased sound and waited for Magnus to continue. "Te quiero mucho," Magnus whispered, "Do you know what that means, Alexander?" Alec smiled against Magnus' mouth. "I do," Alec muttered, his voice mostly muffled by Magnus' lips. "It means," Alec started, "I love you so much." "You've picked up Spanish incredibly well, hermoso," Magnus commented. "And my reward for that?" Alec inquired. "Unlimited kisses starting from now," Magnus answered and whatever Alec was about to say was forgotten as Magnus kissed him, driving him to a blissful horizon.

A/N So I'm just going to share with you all the translataions so that you can all learn a little Spanish; I had to use Google Translate by the way. I do not know Spanish 😂!
