∆ Chapter 17 Mae ∆

Mae's POV

I have been frequently visiting Ace house as we now call it more often because i can't leave Jam with the squad. Cid looks like she's always constipated, Maria seems off and distracted, Sea has been eaten alive because of school, Eshan always looks so sluggish and sleeps regardless of where she is, Era doesn't sleep because of to much programming work, Rylene is always out with some guys called Stell, Caden and Ilhan, and Princess is always busy talking to her parents.

I have a busy schedule too myself home schooling, practicing my management skill with my parents, and watching over my siblings.

How i wish for it all to just pause even just for a second. I'll be sleeping in Ace house for tonight, before the guys arrive home from school i already started to prepare dinner, Jam begs to help but i don't want her to strain herself to much it has only been a day since she got her wound and she already wants to do things, she kept on insisting that i just made her sit there and watch the rice cook which she surprisingly did, Sometimes she's so easy to fool it makes me crack up.

"The rice is doing great Mae" I smiled looking at her just staring at the rice cooker while i stir the food i'm cooking.

"Hey how about a promotion....go prepare the plates" i said turning off the stove and transferring the food to a plate, she said okay and reach for the plates from a high cabinet and carefully placed them on the table.

"Silver wear too" i reminded her placing the food on the table, she made a little 'o' sound hurrying to the drawer where we keep our spoons and forks.

Sometimes i wonder why we call her nanay if she doesn't act like it all the time. Mature mind inside a childish character i guess.

We covered the food for now because the rest of us isn't home yet, impatient me couldn't wait any longer so i dialed Seas phone.

Ring ring ring

"Hello?"

"Yeah its me where are you guys?" i asked looking at Jam and Era watching TV.

"We're going for a drive thru want something?"

My smile dropped knowing they'll be eating out specially today. The only time i can cook for them.

"Ohh a drive thru?" I noticed Jam swiftly glanced at me and raised a brow.

"I guess-"

"Sea?" Jam snatched the phone off my hand.

"Ohh hey we're going to a drive thru want something-"

"No. Mae cooked dinner . put your phone on loud speaker" She said sternly keeping a blank face.

"it's on loud speaker"

"Good. CID DRIVE STRAIGHT HERE OR I'LL KILL ALL OF YOU SITTING DOWN ON THAT CAR!" Jam directly shout at the speaker and calmed down.

There's the nanay.

"Mae cooked dinner so no spoiling your appetites and drive here now or the food will get cold okay~.....see you" She pressed end call and cuddled near me like she didn't scold the six of them in the car, i'm positive they hit the breaks when she started shouting at them.

"Is that necessary?" i giggled cuddling her back with Era pouting in front of us, i gestured her to joins us and she smiled greatly and joins in.

"You cooked dinner so we all have to eat it together" Jam sighed resuming to watch TV, i just chuckled and watched as well.

After a few minutes Sea and the rest finally arrived, we turned our attention to the door opening with them carrying a cake box

"I told them it was a bad idea so we got dessert instead" Eshan state placing the cake down the table.

"Come on lets eat" i motioned them to come in the kitchen and we started eating dinner with a light conversation about school. Jam asking Eshan about their class and what are the things she missed and more, Sea reminding everyone of the exam next week that totally broke the 'light conversation' turning it into a riot, chaotic dinner table everyone talking in chorus but this is where we feel comfortable talking and i love it just the way it is.

After we finished dessert Cid cleaned Jams wound and changed the guaze with a fresh one, we all watched her doing it of course because its really intriguing except for Sea.

We watched some famous dramas then dived in bed.

Next morning i woke up smelling the strong scent of filipino breakfast, i went down to the kitchen everyone well dress and ready to go. I don't have to hurry because i'm home schooled i can start whenever i want.

"Ohh you're attending school already?" I asked pointing at Jams back.

"I'm feeling better, besides i don't want to miss another class" Jam bites on her food and reassures me.

Of course i would understand but i reminded her again to not overwork her body since she's just recovering.

Eshan rose from her chair and washed her plate not bothering to wait for us to finish but we always don't mind that "Uhmm...ill be visiting my brother today and be staying the night there 'cause my parents might actually stay for dinner tonight" Eshan informed us we don't mind her visiting her own family but her brother ridiculously smokes to much cigarettes that really bothers us.

Breakfast is done and they went off to university while i report back to my parents and start yet another of practicing and learning.
