Before Jam and the rest of them go on their way to the hospital they bought a decent breakfast for Maria since the girl misses mcdonald's ice coffee. They got a text at the break of midnight that Mae already went home because her parents got paranoid but she will be visiting again, beside all of that Eshan's parents already told the university about her condition and gave Eshans parents an option, it's either freeze her scholarship or let Eshan do her school work in the form of modules and self study. Mr and Mrs Digroz agreed with freezing her studies rather than stressing their daughter out and risking her health with some simple school work.
They got to the hospital, parking the car and carrying all the food to Eshan's room. Jam kicked the door open disturbing Eshan and Maria's uno game "we're here~" she said twirling with the group snickering behind her.
"we noticed" Maria laughed drawing out a card leaving her hands with two last cards, neck to neck in the game with Eshan, with the same number of cards.
"I win!" Eshan shouts drawing out two +2 cards, throwing her hands to the air celebrating her victory. Maria scattered the cards irritated.
"out of six games– i just won two– out of six" she exclaims. The squad settled down in the room placing the food on the table and some of the snacks inside the fridge. Restarting the game of uno with everyone joining and gathering besides Eshan's bed making it as their table, while placing and picking out cards from stacks they began talking about random topics.
"choco butternut or......choco bavarian" Cid asked shuffling her cards as Jam draws out card, their answers are half and half. but as the game progress different question where thrown out, from school topics to weird questions like what came first the chicken or the egg which didn't get a straight answer.
"hah! i finish first" Eshan said resting back on her bed, Maria rolled her eyes and picked a card from the stack
" wow.....what a surprise" she scoffs as Jam finished second, Rylene following her. All eventually finished leaving Princess and Era to battle. but Era wins in the end and Princess lose gave them an advantage to boss her around the room.
They restarted a few times and eventually got bored so they asked the nurses if they could get a wheel chair for Eshan and walk her around, the girl isn't the one to go out and walk around but since her friends are the ones with her Eshan actually wants to stroll around a bit since she's tired of staring at the four corners of her dull room.
the hospital isn't crowded at all since it's a private hospital, they exchanged a look and smiled. Ace squad dashes to the empty elevator, quickly mashing and playing with the buttons when the door closed will all of them inside they faced the mirror part of the lift and took silly pictures, pictures to goofy to post for the public.
they went up to the highest floor and got off there, taking the stair to the roof top. Cid carried Eshan on her back with the rest carefully guiding the two up the staircase.
"Are we even allowed here" Jam laughed opening the unlocked door revealing the wide and clean rooftop, they all went for the safe edge staring at the vast and wonderful view. streets busy and crowed, rather tall and small buildings with tinted blue glass windows or is it just the clear blue sky reflected on it.
All seated down to this thick blocks of smooth concrete, the chilling air brushing against their cheeks and flying hair.
"get better soon and we'll travel far" Maria said softly while staring at awe into the landscape, the group hummed with sweet smiles escaping their lips.
"where should we go?" Era asked.
"i want to go to japan" Cid states.
"you guys have visa?" she adds the rest of the nodding yes as a response.
"honestly......i want to go batanes" Jam said cuddling to Eshan, feeling a little cold staying up in a tall buildings rooftop, they all eventually joined in since only three of them wore warm clothes.
"it's peaceful there" Jam adds sighing finally warm in her friends embrace.
"but it's nice to see different places.....other than just philippiness" Cid giggles leaning her head to Eshan.
"Batanes is different" Jam prompts as the squad just listen to them debate over a vacation spot.
"how about cagayan in tuegegarao i heard its–
"NO" the squad said at the same time dismissing Sea who only laughs at her friends reaction.
"Baguio?" Rylene suggested
"Nah"
many suggestions later the group eventually got hungry and saved the topic for next time, they went back to the room but when they opened the door they saw Mae and Archie panicking inside, Mae swiftly looked at them angry as she charge to them.
"Bed empty, phones left behind, no note– where have you been!?" She nags hands placed on her hips like a sassy mom. while Archie sighs and giggle very lowkey.
they looked at each other a bit scared "we walked Eshan around since she's bored in here" Cid reasoned as the rest of them stayed quiet.
Mae slowly calmed down walking to the kitchen and poured herself a glass of water, the squad follows after and gathered in front of her like silly children that did something wrong.
Jam ignored the fact that her boyfriend is suddenly in the room without a word or a reason.
Apologizing and reasoning with Mae became successful on its own, the tensed atmosphere simmered down and completely got thrown off when Eshan wanted to eat but before they could sit down Archie cleared his throat making the group turn their head to his direction.
"Ohh...yeah I found Archie wondering around so i took him here with me" Mae said opening the plastic covers of the take outs.
Jam observed him, his eyes clearly asking for something, all cute and soft.
"you guys start without me" Jam said smiling, the squad only shrugs as the two of them left the room and stands at the corridor to have a private conversation.
"so?" Jam started, crossing her arms together and setting the conversation in a rough start.
"Seriously......you're still angry?" Archie whines scratching the back of his ear, his lady's eyebrow rose as she shifts her weight to her left foot.
Archie already knew what that means so he quickly admitted his defeat, well for starters it is his fault Jam just wanted him to admit his mistake, Makeup doesn't determine your gender or personality.
"I'm sorry" Archie apologized making Jam grin, she swings her hands to her side playfully and walked closer to the boy.
"I hope i got through you about that issue......cause if there's something i hate it's close minded people" Jam said pecking on Archie's cheek before twisting the doorknob and entering the room.
"My lady that's– you're so unfair" He pouts following her to the kitchen area with the rest of the gang.
