Staring at this stranger that suddenly changed Maria felt conflicted, she felt confusion from the sudden change, and she felt fear of what the future could give to them. Grey was about to speak when Maria's phone ruined the moment the girl swiftly fished out her phone from her bag and answered the call.
"Where are you?"
"Are you okay why did you call?"
"Well– Cid and Jam kinda went home crying.....while Rylene and Mae are at the backyard venting"
"What happened?" Maria sighed massaging her temples as Grey watch her talk to Princess.
"Can we just discuss it over ice cream.....now?"
"I'll be there in 20 minutes" she grabs her bag and looked at Grey completely frowning.
"I'll drive you" he simply said and grabs the girl's hand running to the car. she gave the address and stopped at a store to quickly buy ice cream then proceeds on their way home. On their way there of course a conversation cannot be avoided Grey asked what was the emergency and she answered with a long sigh that made Grey back off, Maria was silently asking herself if she should confront Grey about what he said in the festival that they never get to enjoy because of the emergency. Maria ended up not talking at all until they arrived at the front gate of the house "thanks" she said hurrying inside.
When she opens the door Princess is already there pacing back and forth at the center of the living room with Jam and Cid knocked out together inside their individual comforters with the AC on full blast. Princess speed walks to Maria trying not to rustle the plastic bag of the ice cream "whaaaa~ you're here I don't know how to handle them alone" Princess cried silently, they place the ice cream in the freezer and talked by the stairs.
"Now....what happened?" Maria sighed as she sit down.
"Well......"
Jam's focus 3rd POV
After Jam's first class it's time for arts, which she attended with a late comer Archie through the hall "why are you always late?" the boy shook his head disagreeing and smiled "I was in the back" Jam slapped his side remembering the scene that happened a while ago "why didn't you sit with me then....I was lonely" she whispered that last part not wanting to admit it out loud.
"I though you're better off sitting with dimply boy?" Archie said with a hint of jealousy in his voice as he roughly tucks his hands inside the pockets of his pants, avoiding straight eye contact with his lady.
"Archie not this again" Jam didn't know how to approach this problem since its stupid in the first. But she tried anyway.
"I already told you that he's just a friend"
"Right and death is just a long sleep"
"Wha– don't go joking about those things on me"
"Why?" they stopped walking when Archie suddenly paused.
"It's not funny......I'm not good at handling myself when it comes to losing someone" Jam smiled bitterly while tilting her head up, shining eyes that is almost teary but water won't come out. She looks at her lover and asks him something that would just stain forever in Archie's heart "don't try to leave me because I won't be able to handle that.....okay?" Archie forced a straight smile and walked ahead of Jam leaving the girl completely confuse.
No hug? No comfort? No nothing?
He left Jam playing that exact scene throughout the day completely forgetting to listen to her art teacher, thankfully the day passed like a blur and she could finally be with her boyfriend, sadly that wasn't what happened. She suddenly has to offer her time to review and give her studies a focus for once. After that, it's already pass four o'clock.
