and fun—
no strings attached.
You want to smile and be carefree,
and you want his hands
all over your body,
but no butterflies are allowed.
You want for him to kiss
up and down your neck,
leaving love bites all over,
but you want them hidden,
so no one knows.
You want it to be okay,
and you want it to be
relaxing and peaceful,
but something inside of you
craves the drama.
Because as much as
you want it to be okay,
it can't be—
not when you want strings attached
and butterflies in your stomach
and love bites to be shown,
and even the drama of a relationship.
You want it to be okay.
You want it to be easy

but it can't be—
not when you want him
to want you back,
when he just doesn't.
