The folder dropped from her hand and she took a step, clenching tightly to Devian's shirt to support herself.

Two crystal clear drops of tears fell from her eyes. She was shattered.

"It's all right. I'm here. We'll find them together, okay?" Devian stroke her back.

"But how will we find dead people? My family died in a fire? I'm ... I can't .... I can't believe this." She was holding onto him tightly as if he was her only support. Her voice sounded so pitiful.

He held her tightly. "They aren't dead." He said, his voice was gentle than ever before. "We'll find them together."

He picked her and put her back on the bed

"Sleep well. We'll go find them tomorrow okay?" Devian pulled the quilt to cover her and turned to leave.

"Don't leave." Arien held his arm.

"Okay. I'll not leave." Devian assured her.

He stayed there while she slept holding onto his arm tightly.

She even had nightmares she used to have when she was brought by Devian to his house first.

"Stop.... Fire.... Stop the fire... Please..." She shouted.

Devian laying beside her, coaxed her like a child.

Next day she woke up she saw Devian in an uncomfortable posture, half asleep.

She poked his nose with her finger. Just as she touched him, he opened her eyes.

"My neck, and shoulders!" Devian didn't sleep whole night taking care of her and coaxing her. His eyes were bloodshot and his back was sore because of the way he fell asleep.

Arien felt warm in her heart.

"He took care of me whole night. He's not that bad actually." Arien thought.

"Go, freshen up and get ready." Devian said while standing up.

He didn't had his coat on but only his shirt that he was wearing yesterday. Seems that he didn't change because of her. His shirt and pants were slightly messy and his tie and two the buttons of his shirt were undone.

He was not in his formals yet he looked so enigmatic. He's really like a God.

"Why's he so handsome?" Arien thought.

"Why are you starting at me again?" Devian spoke as if he was making fun of her.

"I'm not.... I'll go change." Arien knew he was teasing her.

So embarrassing to get caught again!

She got up and ran to the washroom to clean up.

Her heart was still beating fast. She was caught staring at him again! How embarrassing it was.

As she walked out to the room, she didn't see Devian. She decided to go down to find him.

She opened the door, walked out and bumped into somebody.

"Ah..." Arien's head hit his sturdy chest.

"You alright?" Devian asked.

"Yes. Why did you asked me to get ready are we going somewhere?" Arien asked while rubbing her forehead.

"We're going to find something." Devian answered.

"Something?" Arien was confused

"Yup, your memory." Devian held her wrist and started walking.

"But where are we going?" Arien was still confused. How will they go and find her memory? It isn't a material thing.

"Well, we are going to your hometown first. Let's see if you can remember anything." Devian told her about the place. "Ashley will also be accompanying. As she's your childhood friend, she might be helpful." He added.

"That's good. But where is it? I mean which place are we going." Arien kept asking.

"Get in." He helped her get inside the car.

Dean was driving the car which means he would follow as well. Definitely he has to as he was the Special Assistant of Devian.

First they went to Ashley who was already waiting at the door excitedly.

It was 9 in the morning.

They had to drive so that they would reach before lunch.

"How's it?" Ashley got in the car.

Devian at the passenger and Arien and Ashley at the back seat with Dean driving the car.

"How's what?" Arien asked

"I mean you're ready to go back to North Hills?" Ashley asked.

"I don't know. I'm a bit nervous" Arien remembered the contents of yesterday's document that Devian gave her.

It was given that his parent's body were burned into ashes and the house was burned badly. She felt terrible when she recalled it.

"Ahh.. Ashley.. can you tell me something. I mean about my past?" Arien asked

"Hmm... Silly girl! Don't be so formal now." Ashley said holding, patting at the back of Arien's hand.

After driving for almost 45 minutes Ashley and Arien's back were sore. They felt like they hadn't stood up for ages.

They took a 30 mins rest near a river. The place had a lot of greenery and the wind was fresh.

They took 2 hours and thirty minutes to reach North hills. Then they went to the hotel. It was a big 7 star hotel. They had 2 luxury presidential suites one for Ashley and Arien and the other for Devian.

As they entered the hotel the manager along with his staff stood outside to greet them. Devian, as usual, only nodded his head and walked forward.

He didn't need any passes and just walked into the VIP lift followed by Dean and both the girls.

Ashley was already thinking about how can Devian afford staying in this luxury hotel. She kept asking the same to Arien.

"Your man can afford this. How much does he earns?" Ashley was shocked seeing the hotel room with a bedroom along with a living room an attached bathroom and also a swimming pool inside it.

Arien was thinking the same.

"What do you mean by my man? He's not my man!"

Devian heard the girls chattering standing outside their room and his face darkened.

"If not your man then whose man am I?" He asked casually while entering.

"Ahh...? When did you become my man?" Arien was shocked.

"Has this man gone mad?" She thought

"Silly girl, he loves you so much. Why do you have to say that? Isn't it Mr Lyle?" As usual Ashley loved teasing her and seeing Arien's flushed face.

"Ugh ugh..." But this time Devian was also shocked and he can't help coughing.

"Rest for an hour and we'll go around after that." Devian changed the topic.

"Okay" both the girls agreed.
