Unexpected Something

The kidnapper

After dinner Devian went to his study.

He had to find out about the kidnapper.

"Director, the outskirts are undeveloped area and there are no cameras which would have captured the people. It would be difficult to get their whereabouts." Dean reported.

"Hmm" Devian replied.

"Director, Nicole has been in Willis Corporation several times. She has even visited the Willis Manson." Dean added.

Devian had a cold smile in his eyes. The one that could send chills run down ones whole body.

Seems like director Ace has already figured things out!

Devian always kept a long face in front of everyone. People have seldom seen him smile. It was only Arien who has seen his smile.

"Okay." Devian said in his cold voice. "Accept the proposal of the new arrival ideas by Jane Robinson and Walter Mason-" He added.

"Yes director." Dean said.

Arien was lying in her room twisting and turning unable to sleep again.

She thought of going through the trending news and find out what exactly happened to the Chester.

She scrolled down the feeds and what she saw made her jump in surprise.

There was nothing left with the Chester corp, not even their own house!

But old master Chester flew away after the news was released.

The news said that Chester's had done many second class, unsatisfactory things and even used many inadequate ways to reach to the top of the business world.

That was why the Ace corporation took steps to expose them and finally all their stocks decreased to zero.

"There is nothing personal in the downfall of Chester's. Ace Corporation has its exclusive reasons to take these down." Arien thought.

"Everything was just a coincidence. Devian and Ace corp aren't connected." She murmured to herself.

She dialed Ashley's number to finally inform her that there was no connection between Devian Ace and Devian Lyle.

Ashley had always been confused about the identity of both the Devian so she must be the first one to know about it.

"Arien! How I missed you." Ashley spoke.

"It's only two hours since you've seen me. Weren't you working together with me all day?" Arien said laughing.

"Two hours is still long!" Ashley didn't stopped.

She always had a different way of teasing Arien or making her smile.

"Tell me what happened?" Finally she stopped laughing and said.

"Seen the news? Ace Corporation has a reason connect to business for taking the action against Chester." Arien said.

"Yes I saw that." Ashley said discontentedly.

She wasn't happy. Devian Lyle must have been Devian Ace. How good it would have been if this could be true.

"Why are you making such a face!" Arien couldn't see her but she could guess her expression by the tone of her voice.

"Arien have you ever thought, why this happened now?" Ashley said cautiously. "When you're Devian's wife did Chester's downfall occurred. Why not before?" She added.

"Stop confusing me again. There is nothing connected between Mr Lyle and the Ace corp president. Okay!"

How could this girl still pick out ways to confuse Arien!

"Okay okay!" Ashley kept quiet. She knew that Arien would not think it over again. "Tell me?"

"What?" Arien asked.

"It's night and a bit cold." Ashley decided not to ask directly.

"Don't run around the bushes Ash!" Arien was surprised. This girl!

"Okay then I'll ask director. Have you and Mr Lyle did it?" She asked straightforwardly.

"Haen!!" Arien's face turned red and pictures of the day in study popped in her mind.

She took the initiative but he did nothing!

"Tell me... Tell me... How was it?" Ashley started blabbering. There was no end to her questions.

"Ash! I'll talk to you tomorrow. Bye bye!" Arien didn't stop for her reply and quickly ended the call and kept the phone aside burring her face in the pillow.

Soon her phone rang again it was that number.

She kept her phone aside and decided to ignore the call.

But the phone kept ringing.

Maybe the caller was too free to give her so many calls.

She finally picked it up but said nothing.

The other side didn't speak either.

"What do you want?" After a long silence Arien finally spoke.

But she did not get any response so she hung up and turned off her phone.

She had been thinking about the kidnappers.

Who could they be and how could they know so much about her?

Are they continuously spying on her. Or are they people who are close enough that they know about her.

But there were not many people close to her except for Ashley, Jane and Devian.

Then who was this mysterious man? And what does he want for her.

Was the kidnapping and these blank calls connected? If yes then this person calling her should threaten her but he wasn't.

Was it that the man needed her help? Was he in some kind of problem.

But even then why would he call her only from among so many people? Does he know her?

"Ohhh!!!!" Arien sighed. "How will I find the answer for so many questions?"

Should I ask him if he could help. But it would just be burdening him more.

He's already busy finding the kidnapper and if I tell him this he will have more work.

She lied down silently for a moment thinking deeply what she should so.

Finally she got up.

"What if this bit of information could be helpful in finding the kidnapper!" She walked slowly to the study.
