TMNT FanFic: My Little Secret

Training: Part 2

About a half hour later, Master Splinter walks back into the room.

He sits in front of me.

"I would like to start with meditation." He said.

I nodded.

He showed me the correct position to sit in.

"Close your eyes and clear your mind."
I do so.

"Find a place that makes you feel happy."

I think about all of the fun times I've had with the guys.

"Have you found it?"

"Yes." I replied.

"Good. Now I want you to continue to think about it, as you use your power." He said.

"I have my elastic in. I can't." I said.

"It is not."

"Yes it is-" I started to say when I realized it wasn't.
"How-?"

"I have my ways. Now, go back to your thoughts and use your power."

I did as he said.

I felt the familiar feeling of power go through my veins.

I open my eyes.

"Woah..." I said.

It was beautiful.

It looked like... I don't know how to explain it.

Like it was dancing on my palms.

Normally when I have negative moods, it's only... there, I guess.

Now, it's still there, but even greater than before.

"Now, turn it off." He instructed.

I did it.

"That's the shortest it's ever taken me to stop using it!" I said with a huge grin on my face.

"Whenever you feel stressed, go back to that happy place and your power will be easier to control. This will not happen over night. It will take a long time of training before you can master your powers fully." He said.

"Hai, Sensei. And thank you." I said.

"You're very welcome. I think that is all we can do for today, you may go." He said.

"Can I have my elastic back?" I asked.

He chuckled. "Yes."

I took it and put it back in.

I bowed my head and left.

'I can't wait to show the guys!'

I ran into the pit.

Just as I was about to enter, I heard voices.

"You know how she feels about that!" I heard Leo say.

"Well, I know she feels anger a lot." Raph said.

'Are they talking about me?'

Donnie and Mikey were just watching the argument go on.

"You do too, Raph!" Leo said.

"Well at least I don't make things catch on fire every time I have a tantrum!" Raph said.

Definitely talking about me.

"She's a teenage girl, Raph, and she's been through a lot. Cut her some slack." Leo said.
