Nicole's POV

I couldn't fall asleep that night. I was just so... awake.

I did fall asleep eventually, but it took several hours to do so.

I woke up around 7am.

Holy crap, I never get up this early on my own! I thought.

I went into the kitchen, and grabbed a bowl of cereal.

A few minutes after I started eating, Donnie came in.

"Oh hey, Nicole, what're you doing up so early?" He asked.

"I couldn't sleep. Ever since I mediated yesterday, I've felt so... energized. My head hasn't bothered me since before hand, and I haven't been tired at all." I said.

He raised his eyebrow.

"Can you come to my lab?" Donnie asked.

I shrugged my shoulders. "Sure."

I followed him into the lab and sat down on his table.

He scanned me with some of his equipment.

He looked confused.

"What's up, Donnie?"

"I'll be right back." he said.

He left the lab, leaving me sitting there awkwardly.

"Guys! You'd better come see this!" I heard Donnie yell.

A minute later, all four of the guys were in the lab.

Raph looked at me with his arms crossed. "What's this about?" He asked slightly annoyed.

I just shrugged my shoulders.

"Take a look at this." Donnie said and pointed to one of his monitors. "The patterns are completely different."

"And that means...?" Raph asked.

"The screen on the left is a scan of Nicole's brain activity about a day ago. The screen on the right is the scan I took a few minutes ago. There's a significant change. The brain tissue has repaired... completely. When she used her power to heal Raph and give it to herself, it damaged some of her brain tissue, which is what caused her to go into a coma. All of the brain tissue that was damaged... is now fully recovered. Like nothing ever happened." Donnie said.

My mouth hung open.

"... No wonder I feel so energized." I mumbled to no one in particular.

"... How?" Leo asked.

"I have a theory..." Donnie said.

"Which is?" Raph asked.

"Somehow... when she went into that meditative state... she, well, regenerated. Like plugging your phone into a charger when it's on low battery and a little while later, it's on 100%." He said.

"So I'm a phone?" I asked with a smirk.

"No, your body just acts like one." Donnie said.

"Bro..." Mikey said in awe.

It was getting awkward, so I said, "Well, imma head back home, I texted April before I went to bed last night that I'd be home first thing in the morning." I said.

"But it's only 7:30." Mikey said.

"Ya, but it'd be nice to be able to just sit in my own bed. Not that I don't like my room here, it's just that... I feel like a normal person at April's. Not that not being normal is bad... *sigh* Having a little bit of normal feels good every once in a while." I said.
