After telling him my address, JD took me home. Wrapping my arms around his middle made me blush. He parked just in front of the driveway. I gave him back his helmet. "so, are you coming to the party?" I asked.
"the one you mentioned on Monday, right?" I nodded. He sighed. "not sure, guess you'll have to wait and see" he said.
"till then" I say. I wait until he disappears down the street before going inside. I changed into a plain black dress that had long puffy sleeves which I pushed up to my elbows. It wasn't long before I heard the familiar beep of Heather C's car. I quickly grabbed my purse and left the house. I climbed into the back. Veronica sat in the passenger's front. She was wearing a black dress with grey sleeves that showed off her shoulders. There was a blue broach in the centre. Heather wore a red dress. She was talking about some boys who were interested after the last party. I zoned out a little, watching the sun go down.
It wasn't long before we arrived at the party. I didn't drink, knowing Heather would need me to carry her back home after the party. I found a spot with no smoke and sat. I kept watch for JD. After a while, I decided to go outside. it was getting a bit smoky and loud. I walked outside; the air sent a chill down my spine. I looked around and lent on the porch railing. The growl of a motorbike reached my ears as it pulled up the street.
