She turned on the tap and filled her mouth and spat it out.
"I'm amazing. I'm perfect!" she said.
"what's been bothering you?" I ask. she leans against the wall.
"you know, the night Heather died, I was wishing for it. I was wishing so hard for her to drop dead and leave this world. And what do I know, next day the news tells me she died" she says, laughing at herself. "but even after that, she won't leave me alone. my style, what I do, Martha, everything!" she cries. She slides down the wall, her face in her hands. I kneel in front of her. I hesitate for a moment before deciding something. I reach and close the bathroom door.
"Veronica, can I tell you something?" I ask. she looks up and nods.
