4 - Pre-wedding preparations

EMILYS POV
I woke up to the sun beaming into the room and Daniel standing over me. My back ached from when I fell asleep on the floor of the bathroom.
I looked up at Daniel who looked concerned.
"You were supposed to be resting Emily, the doctor said if you still wanted to go through with the wedding on the eighth then you need to rest otherwise it's bad for the baby."
"I know, I know. I just was throwing up and then didn't want to move" I replied.
He sat down next to me, "It's okay" he said soothingly.
I didn't know whether he truly loved me or not but either way we were getting married and I couldn't change the fact that I was pregnant.

DANIELS POV
The wedding was getting closer every day and more stress was piling up. If I wanted to back out, now would be the only time.
I studied Emily, she looked so peaceful as she looked out the window. I couldn't leave her, I did love her at one time and those feelings were crawling back now that she was pregnant.
"Em, I do love you. Remember that" I said, hoping it would mean something to her.
She smiled back at me "I know and I love you too."
For once in a very long time, I believed her.

EMILYS POV
I was still in bed at ten obeying Daniels orders to rest. I was doing last minute preparations for the wedding when I heard a knock at the door.
Nolans voice filled the house and I remembered that Daniel assumed he'd come last night so I slowly walked to the top of the stairs before the pair could exchange too many words.
"Nolan! It's good to see you." I smiled and walked down the stairs and turned to Daniel "I forgot to tell you that Nolan didn't end up coming over last night because I wasn't feeling up to it." I shot Nolan a look telling him to go along with it and he nodded at Daniel and I.
"Well I come bearing gifts" he beamed and handed me a card and a few other gifts of congratulations.
I smiled and hugged him before we walked to the table.
Daniel knew I wanted time alone with Nolan so he left to go for a walk on the beach.
"Em, way to keep me out of the loop. I haven't heard from you in days and the wedding is in 2 if you still keep track. Aiden came to me last night and said you were really going through with this marriage. Is that true?" He asked.
I simply nodded "This baby cannot have their father taken from them. It happened to me and I won't let it happen again."
"Em this is a completely different situ...."
I cut him off
"I don't care, I'm marrying Daniel and we're having this baby" I said with a tone that meant don't push it.
Nolan looked at me slightly confused "You love him?"
I avoided his eyes, "One day maybe... I can feel the way I used to feel about him. Before he became a version of Conrad. Just not today."
But the truth was that one day was inching closer and closer.
