29 - Welcome home?

EMILYS POV
"Daniel?" I didn't know whether to hug him or hit him but he looked angry at me. Jack had a bruise on his face, "Did you do that?" I walked closer to them.
Daniel shrugged and I walked over to Jack and looked at his face, I didn't know how to deal with Daniel so I didn't, I ignored the fact that he was there.

I went behind the bar and got some ice and gave it to Jack, before turning to Daniel, "Where did you go?" I asked him and we walked outside.
"Why do you care? You were just with him!" He said hurt and angry.
"I knew it was you last night... I didn't want to go home to an empty house so I came here and had a bit too much to drink... I only just read your letter." I held it up, "Why didn't you tell me?" I asked with teary eyes.
"Because I love you too much to watch you get hurt" he replied and I hugged him, I didn't care how mad he was at me but I needed to hug him. He hugged me back and kissed the top of my head, "I missed you so much." He whispered.

I moved my head back so I was looking at his face and kissed him gently before pulling away.
"Can we go somewhere else?" I asked him and he nodded but he quickly opened the door to the Stowaway, "Jack, I-I am so sorry for coming at you like that."
He shook his head, "If Emily forgives you then there has to be a good explanation. I'm sorry too" daniel nodded and closed the door, "Let's go home" he put his arm around me and walked to my car.

When we got home Nolan was waiting inside, "Emily I was so worried.." Then he saw Daniel, "Daniel... It's good.. To see you I guess?" He looked confused but I smiled and handed him the note and he read it, "Well no wonder you booked three flights to different places at the same time." Charlie stood at Nolans legs and saw Daniel, "Daddy? Daddy!" He hugged daniels legs and Daniel picked him up, "I missed you buddy!"

We heard a cry from downstairs and Daniel walked inside to the bassinet downstairs and saw Laura who now had tiny strands of dark brown hair growing. "She's gorgeous" Daniel smiled and I picked her up. We heard a knock at the side door of the house. Daniel put Charlie down and opened it revealing Victoria standing there with a smile. She pulled Daniel into a hug, "It's so good to see you again Daniel, since your father is in jail..."

Nolan stood in front of me and I held Laura protectively while holding Charlie's hand. Daniel looked very confused and angry. This was no coincidence.
