21 - The biggest lie, your name

EMILYS POV
"Amanda.. She was my daughter. You're Emily Thorne. You were her best friend." He said and I let out a heavy sigh. I thought he might remember me and it hurt that he didn't. I held back tears and Daniel squeezed my hand.
"Can I have a minute? I need some air" I looked at Daniel and he nodded.
I walked outside and leaned against a tree trying to catch my breath. Nolan came running up to me, "Em, is it true?" He asked and I coughed and nodded.
He pulled me into a hug, "That's..." He didn't have the words.
"I know." I moved away from him, "I have to go back in there."
"Wait, you spoke to him? Did he recognise you?" He asked
I just shook my head and walked back inside before he could say anything else. I took a deep breath and went back into the room.

"Sorry about that. I-" I looked at their faces. David looked mad and Daniel worried.
"You're friends with Nolan Ross? That's how you're so rich. Socialite Emily Thorne. You never tried to help Amanda" He stood up and glared at me
"Excuse me?" I was shocked and angry at the same time.
"You took my daughters money! Get out!" He yelled and I couldn't hold it in anymore.
I ran out the door and burst into tears. Daniel followed me outside where Nolan was comforting me.

"Em, too much stress will harm the baby. We need to get you home" Daniel took my hand and Nolan congratulated us on our baby but I ignored him and walked to the car. Daniel put Charlie in his seat and it was a silent ride home. When we got there I got Charlie out and feed him before going upstairs and laying on the bed. Daniel came up a while later and knocked on the door, "I don't want to talk about it." I said to Daniel without looking at him.
"Okay but Em you'll have to eventually. I'll be making dinner" he said and walked downstairs.
I felt tears fall down my face as I drifted off to sleep. I was woken up by raised voices and I walked downstairs and saw Daniel talking to someone. He saw me, "Em go back upstairs." He said.

I ignored him and kept walking and saw it was David standing there, "They let you out?"
He nodded and I walked up to Daniel and he took a step back, "How dare you... Come here after what you accused me of today." I felt the tears well up in my eyes but I ignored them, "You could've changed everything! IF YOU LOVED ME YOU WOULD'VE COME!" Both Daniel and David looked shocked and confused, I walked to the infinity symbol on the porch, "DID THAT MEAN NOTHING TO YOU?!" I pushed him back but he grabbed my hands and looked at my wrist which had the symbol, "Amanda?" He asked looking confused and I nodded, "Infinity times Infinity." I was so focused on my father that I'd forgotten about Daniel... He shook his head in disgust.
