18 - Dream or reality?

EMILYS POV
"Emily? Em? Are you here?" I heard Aidens British accent fill the room.
I stood up and saw him standing there, "What are you doing here?"
"I came to see you" he said and kissed my forehead "I missed you"
"Daniel will be home soon" I said before kissing him passionately.
He smiled and pulled away, "Well I better go then, I'll be back tomorrow."
I sighed as I watched him walk out the door.
"Em" he turned around and looked at me, "Emily?"
I was about to answer when I realised I could no longer talk and darkness consumed me as I opened my eyes.

I woke up from my dream about Aiden breathing heavily to someone calling out my name.
"Emily?" I stood up from the couch where I'd fallen asleep and walked to the door and saw him standing in front of me.
"Aiden! What are you doing here you're supposed to be in England." I said as he stared at me.
"Em I heard about Victoria, I couldn't come back until the trial was over and then I got caught up in some things." He looked down and then back at me.
"Aiden it happened almost a year ago, I've recovered. You need to go, Daniel will be home soon." I hissed as I heard a car come up the driveway.

I cursed under my breath, "Hide!"
He ran into the kitchen and hid in the pantry. I closed the door just as Daniel walked inside.
"Hey, what are you doing?" He asked casually.
I tried to act as normal as possible, "Just getting ready to cook dinner. How about you go have a shower?" I smiled and he raised an eyebrow.
"We're going out tonight Em, what are you hiding from me?" He walked towards the pantry which I was standing.
He was about to open his mouth to say something but his mobile rang and he answered it and walked into the other room.

I quickly opened the front door and then the pantry and Aiden ran outside and once he got out he texted me, 'I just needed to see for myself that you were okay. I'll disappear now'
I sighed with relief and a slight sadness knowing this time it was for real and I'd most likely never see Aiden again.
A few minutes later Daniel walked back in.
"What are you hiding Em?" He asked and opened the pantry door to find nothing.
"I told you, nothing. Now get ready so we can go out for dinner." I said smiling and he sighed with a smile and walked upstairs.
I deleted the text from Aiden and called the sitter to come over. Finally Daniel was ready and we went out to dinner.
