15 - Name?

EMILYS POV
"Labour?" I asked.
"Now?" Daniel looked just as shocked as I did.
The doctor nodded "Premature labour happens sometimes. There's a bit of a risk but we can't do anything else."
I took a deep breath in and processed it, "Okay. Okay. I'll do it. I'm going to have our baby now" I looked at Daniel and tried to smile but I was panicking and he could tell.
"It'll be okay Em." He said trying to calm me down.
I took a deep breath in and the doctor took me into the room.

A few hours later I was holding my baby. It was a he. He was tiny. Daniel kissed my forehead. "Em, he's gorgeous. Like you" I smiled and didn't take my eyes off him. The nurses asked for a name and I looked at Daniel, "I've always like the name Charlie. I mean we can call him Charles on his birth certificate if you want but I like the name Charlie."

He nodded. Charlie or Charles Edward Grayson, like Daniels middle name we ended up with. The nurses took him and put him in special care because he was still a bit too small. Daniel sat on the bed when the nurses left and smiled. "I can't believe we have a son."

I smiled, "They said he can come home in a week. We still need to buy a few things and we need to ca-" Daniel looked at me to stop.
"Em you just had a baby. You need to relax"
I yawned, "Alright. Just make sure you keep him safe." I closed my eyes and drifted off into a deep sleep.

When I woke up Daniel was asleep in the chair next to my bed with Charlie in his arms. I leaned over and picked him up. "Hello Charlie." I smiled and kissed his head, "Your dad and I are going to love you so much." I cradled him and he fell asleep in my arms.
