(Before you start reading this, this is chapter eleven which by mistake I didn't add. I wrote and kept it for what I have no idea. Stupid brain that I have.. please read it and my apologies guys)
Aayan walks out of his room all ready to go out. He stops when he sees Alia in the kitchen. He thinks to talk to her but when he finds her very busy and concentration hard on whatever she's making. Whatever it is, it smells Divine and he definitely wants to taste it.
He remembers their teenage days when she'd follow him all around with something baked or cooked in her hands. And everyone though she's his girlfriend and wants to pamper him. He didn't care about her but he always made sure to eat whatever she made. He'd take the box from her and ask her to leave him alone and as always the taste would be simply delicious.
He decides to atleast get one of whatever she's making. A week into living together with her and he made sure to never really spend alot of time in the house. He mostly comes late after work because he knows she's early to bed kind of girl and he'd avoid her at any cost. He do not want her hovering over him all the time.
The good part is that in the whole week, she never even once crossed his path. In fact after dinner with their parents last night, she came back with Riddhan's one of the men even after her offered. And that was the first time he actually saw her in the whole five days.
He once again looks at her and decides to talk to her and walking towards the kitchen,"hey..."
Alia jumps dropping the spatula in her hand and with her hand over her chest she looks at him with her eyes wide open before she relaxes but still breathing heavily.
Aayan winches,"sorry, I didn't mean to scare you.."
"It's okay.." she pauses and takes a deep breath in then picks up the spatula,"I am actually not use to having anyone around so.... you just startled me."
"What are you baking?" He peaks in the bowl and inhales,"it smells amazing.."
"I am making chocolate cake and butter cookies.." she looks at him.
He excited looks at her and grins,"you will save some for me?"
"You want to eat my baked goods?"
He snorts, "ofcourse I do. You're a mean baker."
She smiles appreciatively, her eyes shinging," I will keep some for you.."
"Why are you making so much though?" He asks and she walks to the cabinet and taking out a big box which is filled with cookies and offers him.
He looks at the box like a five years old and takes two. He eats and hums,"ummm... this is really good!"
"Thank you." She looks at him from top to bottom just as he catches her eyes wandering over him,"you're going somewhere?"
"Hanging out with friend.."
"You mean Aarul bhai?"
He nods and looks at her apologetically,"he didn't call you after the exhibition?"
"When does he ever call?" She shrugs and gets back to her mixing. He looks at her face which shows disappointment and maybe a little anger. His eyes goes to her hair which is tied in a messy bun then down to her peach summer dress and an apron around her. Her legs, smooth and fine legs, barefoot.
He shakes his head frowning. Maybe he's had enough for a decade. Again he shakes his head,"I'll leave you to your work and go.."
She nods at him and again gets back to his work. His frown deepens as she didn't even glance at her. Neither she looked at him nor she asked him to stay or something. Why was he hoping that she'd ask to accompany him?
