Later that day, Matt and Jack came back to the substation only to see Harper throw up a plate of sandwich in the air, pick up mustard and caught the plate again.
Matt's and Jack's jaws dropped open in shock. The last time they came in to check on Harper was doing, she was doing terribly, and now she's good.
"H - how did she - she do that?" Jack stuttered. "She was struggling not even an hour ago."
"You're telling me," Matt said.
They walked over to the counter where Alex and Jerry were at.
"Boy, Harper improved quickly," Jerry said.
"Yeah," Alex agreed, "Well, sometimes it just takes a while for your skills to kick in. You probably know that from coaching, Dad."
"I am a good coach," Jerry said, proudly.
Matt has a suspicious on how Harper has improve so quick. He has had a suspicious on the Russo family for a while, but they were never confirmed.
"Matt, you okay?" Jack asked.
"Yeah, I'm okay," Matt said as they sat down.
"Hey, guys," Alex greeted them.
"I am not convinced that Harper's skills kicked in this quickly," Matt told Alex.
"Like I told Dad, her skills kicked in," she lied,
"Uh - uh," Jack said. "Her skills couldn't have kicked in this quick. It takes a while."
"Yeah, well, Dad is a great coach," Alex said. "Don't you guys remember, you guys were terrible when you first started helping?"
"Yeah, but we were terrible," Matt reminded her. "And besides, we don't help out much here."
Jack nodded. "We only help if you guys need the extra hand."
The restaurant was packed later that night.
Matt and Jack and Rose stayed at the substation, helping. Rose mainly stayed in the back, helping make the sandwiches while Matt and Jack helped serve.
Whenever the Russos needed it, Matt and Jack were more than willing to help
"Tuna wrap, Brooklyn style!" Harper said, turning around. "Burn 'em. I need a roast beef. Knock the wind out of it and let it walk."
"Wow," Jack said to himself.
Mr. and Mrs. Russo came into the restaurant quite surprised to see it jam - packed.
"Where did all these people come from?" Mrs. Russo asked.
"Oh, Harper gave everyone who was here earlier a coupon to come back for dinner and get a free soda with every sandwich," Alex said.
"But we already give free soda at dinner," Mr. Russo said.
"I know she's brilliant!" Alex said enthusiastically.
"It's great for them, but not great for us," Jack said.
"And you guys got the boys to help?" Mrs. Russo said.
"We needed the extra hand," Alex said, defensively.
"Yeah, but they were already busy enough with basketball and working for Harrison," Mrs. Russo said.
"Trust me, we didn't want to help," Matt said.
Jack nodded in agreement.
"Well, take of your aprons and stop working," Mr. Russo said. "You guys are getting free sandwiches on the house."
