08 - Tea Party

Matt and Jack sat in the living room at Matt's house. They had the TV on, watching a movie.

Matt kept tapping his foot on the ground, feeling uneasy if it's a good idea for them to be sitting here, watching TV while Alex and Harper were at the tea party.

"We gotta do something," Matt said.

"About?" Jack asked.

"Harper and the tea party," Matt said. "I can't just sit here and not do anything."

"What are we going to do?" Jack asked, looking at Matt.

"GiGi invited me," Matt said. "Let's go and stop her from crowning Harper the biggest loser."

"I'm all for stopping GiGi, but I don't want to see her or her friends," Jack said.

"C'mon, Jack," Matt said, standing up. "Let's go."

"Now?"

"Yeah, now," Matt nodded. "Let's go."

Jack groaned as he got up from the couch.

Matt and Jack headed out of Matt's house and headed to the hotel.

They got to the hotel the tea party was held at.

"Ooh, gift shop," Jack said, getting distracted.

"Come on, Jack," Matt said.

"Okay, okay," Jack said. "But we're gonna stop at the gift shop on the way out."

"Alright," Matt said.

They began to look around the hotel.

"Do you need help, sirs?" a hotel employee asked Matt and Jack.

"Oh, um," Matt said.

His mind began to work onto what to say.

Jack noticed this and spoke up.

"Oh, we're looking for this tea party?" Jack said.

"A tea party?" she repeated, confused.

"Here is the invitation," Matt said, taking out the invitation out of his back pocket.

"She gave you an invitation? When?" Jack asked.

"In class," he said.

"Right this way," the hotel employee said.

Matt could tell that the employee was uncertain and confused.

They were led to the room the tea party and a lady in a yellowfins dress that looked like an apron said, "... I know you'll act in the most ladylike fashion. Enjoy you're tea here at the Hotel Fleur - De - Vla - De - Vlasti Flu - Fla De Vla."

"Remind me to stop at the gift shop," Alex said.

"Huh?" Matt said.

"Whoa," Jack said. "So many girls."

"Thank you," Matt said to the hotel employee.

The lady in the yellowfins dress walked away.

"Oh, Matt, you came," GiGi said, noticing Matt instantly. "And you're here," her smile disappeared at the sight of Jack.

"You're here," Jack mocked her. "I didn't come here for you, you bit -"

"Where are Harper and Alex?" Matt interrupted.

"Matt, Jack, what are you guys doing here?" Harper asked as she and Alex approached the two boys.

They turned around to face their friends.
