Part 31 : The Night Where Everything Falls Apart

Flashback four years ago.

Everyone jumps around the house, illegally they raise their cups up high in the sky while screaming out the freedom of one night. All eight of you jumps together in the crowded house, excitedly all of you wait for the new year's countdown to start.

Jungkook's hand wraps securely around your shoulders as hoseok with adoring eyes stares at your smiley face. Jungkook and you never leave each other's side that night, his hand is filled with rum while yours is almost empty with coke.

Your hand is pulled by seokjin to dance with him. Seokjin push jungkook's hand from you and both of you only look at each other with fond eyes before you follow seokjin go deeper into the crown.

Jungkook watches from afar, he stayed standing on his spot as he stares at your laughing state while trying to follow seokjin's famous dance work. Namjoon suddenly asks seokjin for a couple dance battle between seokjin with you and him with jimin.

You look panicky at jungkook, mouthing, "Get me out from here." Jungkook happily shakes his head before waving goodbye at you shouting hard his name.

"You can do it." Jungkook mouthed a cheer for you and before you could curse him. Your arms were locked with seokjin's while both of namjoon and jimin already cracked loud laughs while dancing together.

Jungkook slowly walks backwards, eyes are still warmly stare at your panic face before he turns around fully to the kitchen to help you stay hydrated all night.

Jungkook opens the owner's fridge and see a stack full of coke's, calmly jungkook takes one of it and walks closer to the counter for him to pour the liquid into an empty cup. "Hello." Jungkook slightly jumps at her sudden voice.

Looking up to a beautiful smile, jungkook flustery nods his head acknowledging her company. "You're the jeon jungkook?" She starts the conversation and jungkook answers her with no words, only movements.

Nodding his head again, jungkook focuses his eyes on the pouring liquid but again when the girl suddenly stands closer to his side it made him uncomfortable at first but slowly he got used to her warmth.

"Can I help you?" Jungkook said without looking at her but he could sense her eyes are stuck on his profile. "I never thought I could meet you here." Jungkook finally looks back at her with a curious face he asks her what does she mean by it?

"What's the big deal with meeting me?"

"Don't you know? It's really hard to see you alone without them." She pointed her thumb to your way. Jungkook's eyes follows her point and saw seokjin giving you a piggy back while namjoon is falling from jimin's back before hitting the ground with his legs are still hold by jimin.

A small smile paints on his face and the small smile makes her eyes sparkles. "You're really cute."

Jungkook raise one eyebrow at her boldness, "I'm sorry but I don't know your name yet." Jungkook leans his elbow on the counter and as she answers his question both of them continues to talk even more that night while you're happily spend the day with the boys.

"My name is kim haneul. A new transfer girl from Australia."

"Haneul." Jungkook with amused eyes call her name in a quieter voice. Like he's trying to remember her name, he's head is slightly feeling dizzy cause of the amount of alcohol he had drink before. So he didn't remember what happens around him except the talk he had with haneul.

You walk in the kitchen, still having the terrified look from namjoon's face plaster in your memory. "They are so drunk." You mumble to yourself as you carefully open the door. You don't want to barge into someone making out scene and give them a heart attack so you peek your one eyes inside.

But when your eyes fall on jungkook's leaning body on the counter, closed with an unknown girl's body as both of them laugh at something. Your smile slowly falls as you focus on both of their conversations.

"I really thought you're y/n's boyfriend!" Your eyes harden at her hand flirtatiously hits jungkook's shoulder and you couldn't help but look over to jungkook's drunk eyes smiling back at her with the same mood.

"I wish." Jungkook's smile slowly saddens as he looks down to his drink. The girl must notice his mood change, "Why? What's wrong?" You couldn't handle it anymore, as soon as her hands holds jungkook's.

You kick the door open, "Jeon." You called jungkook's name and both of them were surprise with you. Jungkook quickly stands far from haneul and with a big smile he calls your name back.

"How was the dance?" Your eyes are still glaring the girl and she seems to feel threatened with your glare. A new competition is starting. "Funny." You walk closer to jungkook's side standing in between both of them.

Jungkook looks unbothered with you but the girl angrily glares at you. Jungkook's hand comfortably finds its place around your waist and leans his nose close to your neck. "You're thirsty?" You smirk at his rough voice before you raise your hand to touch his bangs.

"For you?" Jungkook chuckles at your comment. Pulling away, already forgot the girl besides them and reach for the coke he poured for you. "Anytime you want babe." Jungkook finish his word with a wink.

You roll your eyes at him before glancing back to haneul, who's still there and still staring at you and jungkook with full focus. "Yes?" You raise your eyebrow, asking her using your eyes why is she still here.

"Ah, she's a new kid." Jungkook suddenly interrupts both of your glaring match. You look at him weirdly, "New kid?" Jungkook nods his head before slurping more rum in his body.

"Yeah. Haneul meet my best and most beautiful friend, park y/n." Jungkook starts to introduce you to her before continuing the introduction to you too. "Y/n meet haneul. Someone I just met." You only nod, your so not interested with this conversation.

You look back at jungkook's cute smile for you before you pinch his cheeks. "You're unbelievable. How much cup did you drink?"

"It's new year's cups so I need to fill all the good vibes in here so I can make you happy."

"Should I drink too?" Jungkook's smiley eyes quickly turns serious before shaking his head, "To the heck no you won't." You laugh at his protective gears before trying to grab his drink.

"Why? I want to make you happy too!" You and jungkook fights over his drink and you couldn't stop but to laugh at him making silly dance to stop your hands.

"When you're happy..." Jungkook suddenly stops before bringing his nose close to yours.

With eyes lock with yours, "I'm happy too."

Haneul is still there by the way.
