Part 39 : Present Day

(continuing the part where you and jungkook at the gym.)

Jungkook quickly runs to you, trying to match your fast pace to the field. Your teacher suddenly said, "Today's going to be a really great day. How about we go out and have more fun?" You hated him even more now. You feel like you just want to throw an elephant onto his face and let it sit on him all day.

Your pinned side bangs were a little off put so your fingers frustratedly tries to fix it as calm as possible, "I think you're going to poke your brain if you keep doing that." You didn't realize you're actually hoping the pin could stick onto your skin or clip on your hair with tighter grip.

You roll your eyes at him, "Mind your own business." The teacher sees both of you, the last one to arrive, and his mouth was about to call both of you, "Oh good now all of..." You ignore your p.e teacher and walk straight to a bench under a big shady tree.

Jungkook gives your teacher a big smile before pointing to your direction, everyone already knows his signals since he always does that face whenever you feel 'sick' to exercise. "Okay then, let's continue!" The teacher too can't say anything to both of you. You both are basically good in everything; well you will be good if you want to be good but most of the times you don't.

Haneul stares with fury eyes to jungkook trailing behind your tail like a small puppy, "Why are they excluded?" Haneul asks her new classmates. They look confused at her; suddenly making conversation with them but after thinking to not be mean towards her anymore, they answered.

"They are always like that. We call them the royal's in this school." One of them said, haneul didn't feel satisfied with the unreasonable and unfair treatment this school is giving but what does she expect from this? It's fucking park y/n and jeon jungkook we're talking about right now!

"So, they can skip classes whenever and however they want? Like that"

"Well if you want to sum it like that, then yes. They can do whatever their hearts want. Just like the royal's in the castle." Haneul's eyes twitch when jungkook's hand moves like a snake around your shoulders. From his pouting face, he's trying to made up with you and you're just giving him the silent treatment.

"You will never have her. Your father is too much a coward to let you live peacefully."

"Hmm? What did you say?" Haneul ignore her and it made her loudly say, "Rude." To her face before walking back into her group leaving haneul standing alone in the field surrounded by two different class's students.

"Can you please stop ignoring me?" Jungkook pushes his face in front of you but you still kept on looking forward to your classmates. Slowly one by one running around the field, if your eyes are unlucky and make eye contact with them then it's doom for them.

"I'll poke your eyes with scissors if you don't stop staring at her!" You roll your eyes at him screaming close to your left ear. Touching your ringing ear slightly, "Ouch." You said soullessly and it did make jungkook backs up a bit but only by one millimeter. Not much far from before.

"She's the one who took my hand. It wasn't me! Seriously y/n, it wasn't me!" Jungkook defends himself but it's not about them holding hand that irritates you but the secret between you and his father that's making your heart burn in flames of anger. 'Why can't she just give up?' You angrily remember the reason of that night.

"Could you stop being annoying?!" You snap your head towards him, jungkook's eyes flustery blinks at you. When you suddenly snap hard like a broken trunk than there must be something bigger, you're keeping from him.

"I thought we could have this talk in a more private place but I can't wait any longer. I've already waited 4 years for this day. So, tell me my answers truthfully y/n." Jungkook's cute pout puppy's face quickly turns serious with his eyes fill with determination to have the answer of your dark secret; or actually his father's dark secret.

"I don't know what you're talking about. I already told you before and I'm repeating the same thing. I have no clue..." You gasp loudly when jungkook strongly pushes your body to face him by your shoulders.

"You're lying. I always let it go before but I can't hold my feelings anymore and I know you can't too." You search in his eyes for a way to escape but every time you stare in his dark brown eyes, they slowly allure you into his trap.

"I want you as much as you want me." Jungkook have no lies to tell and all his words are pure truth and everyone knows it by now, even you. But how could you be together when you had made a promise with his father.

"I..." Jungkook nods his head, assuring you that he is ready to hear all your words with a big heart but you still can't say it. You know he will hate his father even more and he will start blaming himself for that night again.

You don't want to see that vulnerable jungkook again, him being hurt is like there's a million broken glasses starts stabbing your heart again and again.

"We had a promise."

"What promise?" You couldn't look into his eyes anymore. You know this truth could be a full earthquake in his mind, "I... I don't know if you're ready for this." Jungkook's eyes didn't show anything but determination, even when your eyes are begging him to stop.

"I need to know. If.... Maybe if I know the truth behind his forbidden rules then... maybe we could be together forever. I could propose to you too! Just imagine the future we could build together, y/n. Don't you want me to be in those memories?"

Both of you didn't care if anyone is staring at you, jungkook's hand on your shoulders slowly cups both of your cheeks and with more warm eyes he continues to strengthen your love for him.

"Don't you want us to be a dream come true?"

You stutter your first two words, "I..." Eyes shaking left to right, trying to find any reason to say no towards him but every time you close your eyes. You will always see him, 'Now tell me how can I say no to you when I am obsessed with you as much as you're obsessed with me?'

"Remember when your father asks us to be alone?"

"Yeah, what about that?"

You take a deep breath before finally unlocking the big truth, "Your father told me he had a one-night stand with this one particular woman. He had really regretted that night since he accidentally made her pregnant..."
