"kim hyunjin are you even still listening to me?" heejin asked, slight annoyance in her tone. she was trying to explain her thoughts on these weird things that had been happening to the both of them but she felt as though hyunjin could care less. "o-oh what yes?" hyunjin replied, still staring at their hands connected together. heejin looked down to where hyunjin was staring and removed her hands away. "i never knew my hands were that pretty to stare at." heejin giggled, hyunjins cheeks went a light shade of pink to due to embarrassment. "no i- well- they were just there and i didn't know what else to look at..." hyunjin scratched the back of her neck as she nervously laughed. heejin just smiled. "when talking to someone you're meant to look at their face." she said, causing hyunjin to look at her straight away.

the 2 girls decided to part ways not long after, hyunjin insisted to take heejin home but she kindly refused, she didn't want to be a bother towards hyunjin.

whilst walking towards her home, hyunjin stared at the small bright stars in the night sky, he mind couldn't get off of heejin and their little interaction today. but why was she so interested in the girl all of a sudden. they hadn't known each other for ages, surely, and that was their first time properly talking. maybe heejin was right in a sense that those girls were actually them. it seemed to be, it felt oddly the same, even if they weren't high school students.

would this mean heejin wouldn't love her back?

upon thinking about this, she vividly remembered that memory she received the first time she made eye contact with heejin, but it was never finished. hyunjin just sighed, she should stop thinking, this is too much for a late night. she should probably just get home and rest.
