hyunjin walked around the dark city, stressing out, her fingers ran away through her rough yet silky hair as she slammed her back against a wall. a mess. a mess is what she created. she sighed, letting her helpless self fall flat against the stone cold floor.

"stupid. stupid. stupid."
she chanted at herself as she took a massive breath. for a moment she felt the fresh breeze engulf her into a hug, then let go. she frowned upon remembering the conversation with haseul and how she just left sooyoung there on the street as she ran to heejins house.

multiple times she rang the doorbell to the great mansion the brown haired girl lived in. yet, there was no reply.

she started to have an argument over the phone with sooyoung once she reached her home, which resolved in them shouting at one another.

all these memories kept replaying in her head as she let out a few gasps and meaningful tears. soft whimpers were released from her lips as she tried to cover her face with her left hand, her right hand placed onto the ground.

but almost as if it were magic, a purple haired girl travelled across the road, looking left them right before lightly skipping with a big grin plastered against her face. with a paper full of typed-up writing in her hand, she span around staring at her legs. her grin growing wider. she flung her bare arms out as she began to run across the rest of the road with glee. the red traffic lights were the only thing that allowed hyunjin to notice her sweet honey smile. a familiar honey smile that was. a wave of realisation hit hyunjin as the girls purpled hair flipped around over and over again as she was running closer to where hyunjin was sat. yerim. it was choi yerim.

without taking notice, a small, sheepish smile crept across the girls skin.

yerim opened her eyes as she began to slow down, letting out a heavy breath of air, as she sniffed in the scent of the late nights aura. her eyes wandered around as he just stood there. her eyes fixated onto a girl who sat against a wall. she walked closer snd closer until she could just make out that it was her coworker, most importantly best friend, kim hyunjin.

"have you become homeless in the time i wasn't around?" a voice popped out of the blue, scaring hyunjin. her shoulders jumped as she placed a hand onto her chest. she looked up to only be met with her best friends signature eye-smile. "yerim" hyunjin gladly breathed out, staring at the ball of sunshine above her. "but seriously though," yerim began to crouch down to eye level with hyunjin, "what are you doing here sitting so... helplessly on the streets?" hyunjin sighed yet again. "long story." hyunjin said in response, as she continued to look into yerims dark yet fascinating orbs. yerim just laughed, "classic hyunjin." she simply said, now placing herself next to the black haired girl. "but you can always tell me!" she giggled, wanting to know the answer for real this time. hyunjin sat there, her mind becoming indecisive. well she supposed, it wouldn't hurt to tell her closest friend, but under one condition. "well," hyunjin began to speak, "only if you tell me what you were doing first." yerim nodded almost immediately, of course she would tell hyunjin to hear her problems any day. yerim stopped staring towards hyunjin, and focused her gaze onto the city in front of her as she opened her mouth. "well you see," she began, "i was in hospital due to that crash, if you didn't remember that bit. i don't think you'd seemed to notice how long i was there for, you seemed too busy in your own world to pay attention to me." she said, bitter-sweetly. hyunjin felt a rush of guilt overwhelm her. it was true. hyunjin was too absorbed into her own problems and life to even noticed a person who meant a lot to her was gone, just like the same with heejin. she forgot about two of the most important people to her. "i don't blame you though," yerim once again spoke, giving hyunjin a little reassurance, "you've seemed too stressed, it's okay, jiwoo and jungeun had visited me often. they told me you were just too busy, so it was understandable. i'm so happy tonight though," yerim began to show a happy smile for the third or fourth time, "they let me go back home, and my legs finally work!" she said, you could hear the excitement in her tone as she finished off her sentence. yerims eyes glistened in the moons soft lit light whilst her eyes were glazed with a small amount of water attempting to leave her eyes. "i've missed everything." she whispered. this felt good to hyunjin, this felt comforting. she looked towards yerims direction after following her actions where she faced forward. she couldn't be more thankful for yerim noticing her. after the small, emotional moment of silence passed by, yerim was ready to speak again. "so what about you now, hyunjin?" she asked. hyunjin gulped the large lump in her throat. she turned towards yerim and told her everything, about heejin, about sooyoung, about haseul. all yerim did was nod her head understandably. she didn't judge hyunjin for every word leaving her lips. that's what everyone liked about yerim. after the long story, yerim began to hug hyunjin, she rubbed the black girls back softly and gently whilst feeling wet patches form on her own one, she could tell hyunjin really was under a lot of stress. it upset her. she always knew hyunjin was a bit well rude or arrogant. she always came across as the type to not really care, as if she was rock solid to the core. but she only had a rock solid shell, and a hell lout of softie inside. although hyunjin was wrong in quite a lot of ways, she never deserved to what felt like the world to cave in on her. yerim tightened her hug, as small whispers of tears left her own eyes that were just filled with all of the tears in the world. "i have pity."
