it might've seemed to hyunjin, that the way she would glance at sooyoung went unnoticed. but, she was really oblivious to the fact that it was not.

once heejin actually knew about sooyoung, due to work purposes, she would notice little things. as she wouldn't admit yet, and her and hyunjin weren't officially dating, she had no right to feel jealous about how sooyoung would always catch hyunjins eye. but it was starting to seem as if she was getting more and more ignored as time passed, and even more so, annoyed. she did suspect that something was going on, but she wouldn't want to make assumptions. that's just too childish, and if she confronted hyunjin about it, it wouldn't end with a good result. but really she shouldn't be jealous. their 'relationship' is only for their legacy. not for anything other from that. it was just a set up business. but she wouldn't deny that her heart felt many things for hyunjin.

"how's it going?" haseul ask, walking into heejins office, only to be met with her boss' head hung down low and small wet patches on the sheet of paper below. haseul quickly put down the tray of coffee that she was holding and rushed right over to heejin. "heejin? is everything okay?" she asked, like always, she sounded far more than worried. it was like the only emotion she felt around heejin. haseul considered heejin as a sister, they had known each other for ages, they go way back despite their couple years age gap, and heejin even offered to let haseul work at the company without a proper interview, and of course she took the offer, because who wouldn't? haseul would never let anyone hurt heejin, even if it was her against the world, she would still stand up for heejin. that's why, she is more or less always concerned when something seems slightly off.

"it's nothing, really.." heejin managed to get out, whilst waving her hand in signal to tell haseul she could leave if she wanted too. during this her head was still hung low, trying to avoid eye contact with haseul, her puffy eyes must be hidden, it would only make the older one out of the 2 more worried. but of course, haseul would not just leave that easily, neither would she leave heejin alone if she's upset. haseul squatted down, attempting to be able to look at heejins face from underneath. you couldn't see much except a few dried tear stains and slightly purple eye bags. heejin never gets eye bags. she more or less always sleeps like an unbothered baby. something must've been terribly wrong. "heejin you've known me for years," haseul once again spoke, "if there's anything going on, or if you're upset, you can trust me."  it took heejin a few seconds, an a numerous amount of hesitation before she actually lifted her head up. haseul took a look at the girl. heejins light mascara was smudged onto her perfectly round monolids, and her eyes were red and watery. a hint of greyish-purple popped out from underneath her eyelashes, and her under-eyes were puffy. there were many dried tear stains, and a few fresh tears hanging off of heejins chin. her eyelashes were drenched, and the front of her hair was a mess. haseul frowned, massively. the sight of the poor girl really tore her heart into shreds, and whoever or whatever made heejin like this, she would tear them to shreds, too.

"what happened?" haseul gently asked, lightly placing her hand onto heejins, that was flung down by the side of her chair, and intertwined their fingers together, softly. much more gentler than when hyunjin had gone hand in hand with heejin. haseul always knew ways to calm down heejin. just with this simple action, heejins breathing had slowed down, and wasn't choppy anymore, as she could finally let fresh air threw and out of her nose and mouth. heejin opened her mouth, but then closed it. she felt as if she was going to cry again. but it was understandable to haseul, she wouldn't rush heejin if she wasn't ready to speak about it yet. "it's alright, take your time." haseul smiled, as her grip tightened on heejins hand, but still remaining light and soft.

"i just- i-i know me and h-hyunjin aren't an official couple but it-it h-hurts-" heejin began to speak, tears already forming in her eyes again as she tried to force them back in. on the other hand, she didn't want haseul waiting there for long without getting the exact information on why she was crying. haseul nodded her head, allowing heejin to continue. "it's j-just as i-if... her and that ha sooyoung are a real couple when it meant to be me and her!" heejin continued, before bursting back into tears as she finished off her sentence. haseul gasped. she did hear of ha sooyoung, and she did too know the girl. they went to high school together. and although there could be different ha sooyoungs all over the world, she knew this exact one would be the one she knew. that snake. haseul knew how much of a manipulator and user ha sooyoung was. that's why she didn't want neither of the 2 girls, heejin and hyunjin to get hurt. but heejin was already hurt, it was just hyunjins turn next.

ha sooyoung isn't all what she seems. from the outside she is cute. she loveable, i'd admit. she's helpful. but she's only helpful so she can get what she wants. and once she has gotten it, she'll throw it away. because it isn't as special to her as it was when she had first layed her eyes on it.

haseul stood up, and stared at heejin, slight anger yet sadness in her eyes. heejin was a bit confused, but she let it pass. she never saw fire or anger in haseuls eyes. it was always just love, sadness, kindness or worry. but, she let it pass by despite the confusion. maybe haseul was just angry because of the situation. but it was a whole lot than more then just that.

"i will get you."

                            "well, good luck with that."

omg guys i go back to school soonnnn, on wednesday. it's not like i upload everyday, but i'm scared i won't be able to upload a lot. i'll hopefully start the next chapter tomorrow, so i don't have to do a lot to complete it. i hope you enjoyed this chapter! also omg, sooyoung is a snake? :0
