Past (1995)

"I'm sure he'll fall for it!" Freddie whispered, leaving a plate of biscuits on the table.

"He's coming!" said the twins.

"Quick! Hide! Upstairs!" James hissed, as the four his upstairs.

"James! Freddie! Where are could those two be?" said Remus who was roaming around the kitchen, looking for James and Freddie.

"Anybody?"

"Can somebody please answer me!"

He caught the sight of the plate of biscuits that Freddie  placed on the table earlier.

Remus's stomach suddenly growled, and placed his hand on it.

Just hold it. Not yet. That's what Remus thought in his mind.

"Well, if you say so," Remus muttered to his stomach and took a biscuit and ate as though he haven't ate for several months. "Good. It's good. Hold on, something's not —"

It was too late. Remus suddenly transfigured into a bright, yellow canary and kept on squawking.

James, Freddie, Fred and George then came running to the kitchen, howling with laughter.

"I can't belive he fell for it!" laughed James.

"Canary Creams. Classic." the twins said in a chorus.

Sirius then came in, just fresh from the shower, drying his hair.

"Hi Sirius!" they all greeted.

"I just heard that someone fell for a prank! Who is it? Where is he?" Sirius said excitedly.

The bird then flew to Sirius's shoulder and pecked him on the cheek.

"Wonder who you might be." Sirius said, with Remus continuing to squawk loudly.

"It's Remus!" Freddie chuckled.

James laughed at this again.

Sirius then let out his bark-like laugh and said, "You know Moony, I think you look good, er, terrific as a bird. I reckon I should call you Birdie."

Remus then pecked him and squawked to Sirius furiously into the latter's ear, who and let him fly.

"Alright, alright. Just hold on." said Sirius seriously, transfiguring him back to human form.

Remus fell down to the floor with a great thump.

"That felt weird." Remus exhaled, massaging his head.

"Really, Birdie?" Sirius teased, Remus hitting him on his shoulder.

"Oh shut up." he scoffed.

"Ahhhh!" a voice echoed through the hallway.

"I'm covered with spots! I'm covered with spots! I look hideous! I think I might vomit!"

Everyone in the kitchen paused at this.

Suddenly, Rose came running around the kitchen with purple spots covered on her face, followed by Teddy, Roxanne, Hugo and Albus.

"Teddy did it!" Rose cried.

Remus glared at Teddy, whose hair was turning red like his face.

"Teddy. Undo it. Now." Remus scolded him.

"Don't be so harsh, Moony. He really is a son of a Marauder." Sirius said to Remus, who chuckled.

"Sorry Dad, I don't know the counter - curse to it." Teddy giggled.
