Present (2021)
Hermione groaned, as she flung the the Daily Prophet's morning editions on to the Potters' breakfast table in front of Harry and Ron.
It plummeted in front of them, knocking over their glasses of pumpkin juice.
"Mione, you're not your self today. What's wrong?" asked Ron.
"Here's what wrong!" said Hermione, throwing the newspaper on Ron's face.
Ron's eyes bulged as he read the headline.
'Potter and Weasley Children Gone Back in Time...Again.'
"They know," Ron said shakily.
"What do you mean?" said Harry.
"It's all over the papers Harry," Hermione shrieked. "They know that the children had gone back in time."
"But how? We made sure that nobody would know!" said Harry, glancing towards Ron. "Unless, someone was eavesdropping on us."
"Don't you two realize?" said Hermione angrily as Ron and Harry shook their heads. "It's none other than that wretched, blasted, Rita Skeeter!"
"Maybe she was using her animagus form to spy on us." Ron said cooly.
"Harry, I wanted to ask if you let it slip? Did you tell anybody that the kids had gone back in time?" asked Hermione, her eyes scanning over his.
"No! Of course not Hermione, I'd never do such a thing!" Harry replied.
Hermione sighed and hung her head in guilt. "I'm sorry Harry, I know you wouldn't do it, but I had to make sure."
"Hermione? Ron? What are you two doing here at this hour?" Ginny asked, still wearing her nightgown and had just woken up. "And why does the room look like a jungle? Scourgify!"
With a wave of Ginny's wand, all the mess on the table was wiped in just seconds.
"What's that?" she asked.
Harry then passed the newspaper to his wife. Ginny clasped her hand against her mouth as she read the headline and the article.
'Potter and Weasley Children Gone Back in Time...Again
by: Rita Skeeter
It has recently pricked up ears that the famous Harry James Potter's children have gone back in time...again. It is unknown what year have traveled to, but it is quite sure that whatever year they had gone to, they're there to cause mischief.
Of course, it appears that Harry Potter doesn't care whether his children will be causing trouble in the past, even though he knows that messing with time is a very dangerous thing to do. Last year, his middle child Albus Severus Potter, along with friend Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy, son of ex-Death Eater Draco Malfoy, traveled to 1994 alonside He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named's daughter Delphi, who is currently serving a life sentence in Azkaban.
And clearly, Potter's children haven't learned their lesson. And now, alongside Albus and Scorpius are James Sirius and Lily Luna Potter, Albus's older brother and younger sister respectively; Roxanne and Fred Weasley, children of George Weasley, co-founder of the disgraced Weasleys Wizard Wheezes. Victoire, Dominique and Louis Weasley, children of William and part-veela Fleur Weasley.
And of course, anyone who reads the 'Witch Weekly' knows that Bill and Fleur Weasley's daughter, Victoire, is engaged to werewolf Edward 'Teddy' Remus Lupin, son of the deceased Remus John Lupin, who passed his werewolf condition to his son and the deceased Nymphadora Lupin, who were both killed during the Battle of Hogwarts in 1998.
What makes this incident even more shocking, is that the Minister of Magic's own children Rose and Hugo Weasley, are also in the past, accompanied with their cousins. Why has the Minister, Hermione Granger-Weasley, best friend of Harry Potter, allowed this to happen? And why did they fail to mention this to the rest of the Wizarding World? Is this all a cover up? Is the Minister herself involved in this?
Well, the Minister had organized this along with Harry to use their own children to travel back in time to prevent the loss of their loved one's lives, notably former escaped convict Sirius Black, former Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore, Remus and Nymphadora Lupin and Fred Weasley, the deceased twin of George Weasley. Yes, they're organizing the loss of other people's lives, but do they really care? No, the Boy Who Lived, the Chosen One, wants to cause trouble in the Wizarding World again. Rita Skeeter, lead journalist, the Daily Prophet.'
Ginny came at the end of Rita Skeeter's article and looked cross.
"See?" said Hermione viciously.
"That damn Skeeter is back in business." Ginny said angrily.
