I grinned running over the the jeep as it pulled up outside the apartment. "Hey, Wolfie!" Stiles grinned, leaning out of the window to kiss me before opening the door to let me get in. Liam and Scott waved and we started driving again. After a while of driving, we picked up Malia. She frowned, noticingt that we were all staring at her expectantly, "What?"

"Did you find out yet?" I asked.

"Find out what?" Liam frowned.

She held up her phone, "They were gonna email me"

The Beta glanced at her i confusion, "Is this about summer school?"

Malia glared at Stiles and I in disbelief, "You told him?"

"Oh, no, all they said was you had to go to summer school 'cause the principal said your test scores weren't good enough and you might have to repeat junior year" Liam shrugged.

Stiles huffed, "We should have left him chained to the tree"

Malia and I stood at the front desk of the hospital, waiting for Scott and Stiles. Stiles called over to me, "Ari, if you were going away and I told you 'Don't worry, go have fun'. What would you think I was talking about?"

Before I could answer, Malia interrupted, "Wait, do you mean 'fun' like bowling, or sex with other guys?" I paused, trying to come up with a better response, but just ended up gesturing to her to show that she was right.

Stiles looked at Scott, who sighed "Okay, now I'm worried!" A gurney was pushed past us, followed by a team of nurses and paramedics, Scott called over to Melissa, "Hey, Mom, where's all this coming from?"

"A jacknifed tractor-trailer on 115, caused a major pile up" she explained, rushing after the gurney.

"Okay, okay, there's only one way back into Beacon Hills from the airport" Stiles said.

Scott nodded worriedly, "115"

I sighed, "Kira's never gonna make it"

"I can get her," Scott began to walk off, "You guys head to the school, Lydia's probably already there. We'll meet you by midnight!" he rushed out of the door.

Stiles huffed, "How are you gonna get to her in the middle of a traffic jam?"

"We'll make it, trust me"

I followed Stiles towards the school, trying to avoid the torrential rain. "Nothing from Scott or Kira," I told him.

"And nothing from Lydia either," Stiles sighed, looking around at the other students, watching the couples and friendship groups laughing and joking, ready for their senior year.

I frowned, walking over to him, "Hey, you okay? You seem anxious"

"Always," he chuckled, his cheeky smile disappeared when he saw my concerned expression.

"This is really important to you, isn't it?"

He shrugged, "It's not. It's not, uh... I don't know. Maybe it is," I moved closer, lacing our fingers together. He looked at me, sighing a little, "I asked my dad the other day about his high school friends. Guess how many he still talks to? None, not a single one. You know, and these were his best friends and he ust says he lost touch with them, you know? So I started thinking about things, like I always do"

I smiled, brushing a stray lock of hair out of his face, "Obsessively"

"Yeah. And so I'm thinking, what if... what if Scott's my best friend now, you know, but he's not my best friend for life?"
