I sat in the hospital room, staring at Stiles' contact on my phone. "Hey" a voice croaked from the bed next to me. I gasped, tears filling my eyes as I pulled my uncle into a tight hug.

He winced and I quickly pulled away, "How are you feeling? Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm okay. Well, as okay as anyone can be after being shot in the back" he sighed, groaning as he tried to sit up.

I quickly grabbed his hand, trying to take some of his pain. "Don't move too move, okay? Just... just try to stay still. You're gonna be fine, you have to be fine"

He smiled and squeezed my hand gently, "I promise I'll be okay. Surgery didn't g horribly wrong, I should be out of here pretty soon"

"You'd better be"

Chris chuckled, "How are the others?"

"Lydia and Mason were out of surgery a while ago, Scott's dad was transferred to San Francisco Memorial. And Melissa's gonna be just fine," I smirked when he sighed in relief, "You really like her, don't you?" He shrugged, quickly looking down. I began to trace circles on the back of his hand with my thumb, "You're allowed to move on, you know? They would want you to be happy"

"I know"

Malia and I raced down the hospital hallway as we tried to catch up to  Scott, slowing down when he turned to face us. "What do we do?" I asked him.

"No more peace summits, no more running, no more half measures"

"What's the plan?"

He sighed, "Fight back"

The werecoyote nodded, "I'm good with that plan"

"And Gerard, Monroe, the hunters. We can take them all on"

"Then we're gonna need more firepower" I reminded him.

He agreed, glancing suspiciously at the people around us, "Not just firepower, we're gonna need an army"

We were stood in Scott's house, watching as Deucalion examined the shattered glass. I didn't take my eyes off of him for a second, making sure to watch his every move. "You know my fighting days are over" he sighed as he walked past us.

I scoffed as I turned to face him, "That's hard to believe. I'm pretty sure you once said you'd kill any living thing that got in your way"

He nodded, his back still facing us, "I said a lot of things"

"You did a lot of things"

He ignored my remark, "But eventually the bodies pile up so high that even a blind man can't ignore them"

Malia frowned, "So what? You moved into a cave and took a vow of uselessness?"

"I changed, we should all try it. And I live in a condo"

"I liked the old Deucalion better" she shrugged.

Scott huffed, "Well, maybe you've changed, but Gerard hasn't. And he's not gonna stop with Beacon Hills. He's got a map with places circled, Toulouse, Brasilia-"

"Logashkino, Zhengzhou. Nemetons of the world" the man interrupted him.

"You know him. You can outthink him, you can read him" Scott reasoned with him.

Deucalion sighed, "You've beaten him before"

The Alpha nodded, "He's got a lot of help now. Actually, he's got pretty much everyone"
