"Hey, Stiles!" I ran over to him as he spoke to Theo in the library, "Are we still on for tonight?"

He frowned, "What's tonight?"

I chuckled, "Um... you were gonna come over. You know, movies, pizza... that stuff"

"Look, I've got a lot going on at the moment. So, uh, I'm gonna have to miss it. I'm really sorry, Ari. I'll see you later, okay?" he sighed before walking off.

I just watched him go in confusion. He had been avoiding me, he had stopped giving me goodbye kisses or hugs, he hadn't told me that he loved me in days. The last time I asked him what was wrong, he got angry and we ended up having another fight. I had never felt more distant from him. Even when I was in France, I still knew how I felt and I knew that I could go back. But being with him, seeing him every day and knowing that he was becoming distant, it was killing me.

"Hey, are you okay?" Theo's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

I nodded, putting on a fake smile. "Yeah, I'm fine"

He huffed, "You know I can hear your heart beat, right? Is it Stiles?"

"He's just been acting so... weird. And I can't get him to talk to me about it"

A look of guilt flashed across his face but the bell rang before I could ask him why. "You should get to class. Maybe we can talk later?" he said, walking off.

I frowned as I heard an ambulance outside the school, grabbing my things and rushing out of class with a quick and lousy excuse to the teacher. I met up with Scott and Theo as we raced outside, seeing Corey on a gurney. His face and clothes were covered in black and silver liquids and he was screaming for help. "He just started bleeding everywhere, I don't..." Mason began to panic, the strange liquid covering his clothes too.

"Don't let them do it," Corey choked, "Don't let them kill me!"

Theo turned to us, "Scott, we have to follow them. We gotta protect him, right? Scott, come on. Scott?" we stared at the Alpha in confusion as he stood there in silence, "Scott, this is what you do!" Theo yelled, bringing him out of his daze. We ran off and I sent an apologetic look towards Mason.

"Hey, what did you want to talk to me about?" Scott asked Theo as we drove to the hospital.

He shook his head, "It can wait"

Scott turned to look at him, "If something's wrong, you should tell us. We've all got to start talking to each other again"

"This might not be the best place to start, Scott"

"You think I'm going to be angry?"

The boy shook his head, glancing at me, "Not with me"

I sighed, "Theo, just talk to us"

There was silence for a moment before he addressed Scott, "Open the glove compartment." Scott did as he was told, slowly opening it to reveal a wrench, one end of it was spattered with red. He picked it up, examining it. "It belonged to Stiles, he dropped it at the school"

"Dropped it when?" Scott whispered.

"When he killed Donovan"

My eyes widened and I stared at Theo in shock, I couldn't even find the words. Scott looked at him, "What are you talking about?"

He sighed, "You know he hurt his shoulder, right? You smelled the blood" his eyes flickered over to me.

I shook my head, "That was the jeep. He said that the jeep's hood fell on him"
