My phone rang, causing me to groan. I accepted the call, making sure to wipe away my tears and put on a mile. "Hey, there she is!" Stiles grinned, "How are you?"

I paused, "I'm fine, I'm okay"

"Hey, your voice sounds a little weird. Have you been crying?" he frowned, moving a little closer to the screen.

"Oh? Uh, n-no"

Leo walked over behind him, "You sure? Your eyes are red. I've got this amazing drink idea if you're feeling sick"

I stammered, trying to figure out what to say, "Um... yeah, that'd be great. I just... it's probably a cold a-and Shelly and I watched a really sad movie last night"

"Oh, how is Shelly? Is she there?"

"No, she went to the library" I lied. As far as Stiles knew, I had gone back to UC Davis. It wasn't too hard to lie when we had video calls, since my dorm room looked pretty similar. Plus, Shelly (my roommate) had been sending me all of the work I was missing so that I didn't flunk out.

He nodded, "Tell her I said hi. Wait, what movie was it?"

My eyes went wide, "Uh, the one about the... the wallflower"

"Love that movie" Leo grinned, walking out of sight.

Stiles' eyes narrowed as he watched me carefuly, "You sure you're okay?"

I nodded quickly, "Yeah, yeah. I'm fine, I'm great. Look, um... I totally forgot that Shelly and I were supposed to meet up, I gotta go!" Once I had hung up, I sighed and hid my head in my hands. I hated lying to him, but it would keep him safe.

We gathered in the Argent bunker, watching Scott as he sadly examined the broken half of a lacrosse stick with Brett's blood spattered on it. "They weren't just killed," he sighed, "They were murdered. Killed by the new hunter in Beacon Hills. You know, when he took out the hellhound, we thought that it was luck, that we were dealing with an amateur. But now we know that whoever this new hunter is, he has a teacher"

"Gerard," Chris huffed, still staring at the lacrosse stick, "Which means this is my fault. I'm the one who let him go"

"You couldn't have done anything" I reminded him, placing my hand on his.

Malia shrugged, "He could've killed him," we stared at her in exasperation, "Just saying"

Lydia shook her head, "We're not executioners"

"You are when it comes to war"

"That's why we're gonna make peace" Scott explained.

Lydia frowned, "With Gerard?"

He sighed, "Lydia, you know what's coming. We all keep using the same word"

"War"

"So what stops a war from happening?" Malia asked as she looked around at us.

Chris paused, "A peace summit"

Scott nodded, "Right. We meet face-to-face with Gerard, find out what he wants and then we stop all this before it gets any worse"

"Last time Gerard was at a peace meet was with Deucalion. He blinded him and then killed everybody else, including his own men, and didn't seem to be bothered that my mom was murdered as a result" I argued.

My uncle winced a little at my words before approaching the Alpha, "I'll go, I know he's not going to kill me"

Malia frowned, "You sure about that?"
