the pounding in my ears only intensifies as he drives away.
a friend stopped by so i can sign his girlfriends yearbook,
she lives in minnesota now.
he was in a bad spot a few years back
so i asked him what he did to get out of the slump he was in.
he said he met her.

now im in the bathroom,
im gonna take a shower
but i cant help but keep glancing at the mirror
and thinking
