The other boys went out of their rooms because they heard some noises. What they didn't expect to see was Jinji sitting next to Chenle sobbing with her head on his shoulder and Jisung rubbing her back on the other side.
Jaemin mouthed a 'what happened' to Jisung, which he just shrugged also not knowing what set her off.
Renjun walked over and sat down next to Jinji. He softly picked her up and placed her on his lap facing him, so she could cry on him. She buried her face in his neck and continued to cry. Renjun shooed the other boys out so he could handle it. He rocked her back and forth until her sobs became short breaths indicating that she was asleep. He carefully stood up and brought the sleeping girl to her bed.
He left her room for her to sleep and went out to the kitchen where the other boys were.
"What happened?" He asked Chenle.
"I don't know why she started crying but before she cried she told us what the ceo said." Chenle answered.
"W-what happened?" He asked again in full fear.
"Nothing too bad. It's just that she'll have a photo shoot this Saturday. The only problem is it will be posted on the official nct account on instagram." Chenle explained.
"She's probably afraid of the fans." Jeno said.
"I think that's why she started crying. She said she knows the fans will hate her. Chenle gave her a mini speech about how they can't hate her because she's a great person." Jisung explained. They all just agreed and changed the subject to something else. One of them would check on her every hour, but she just slept in her room for the night.
The next day, Jinji POV
I woke up and remembered what happened yesterday. I still feel pathetic but I just couldn't hold it back. I know that there will be so much hate and even though I seem confident there is things that I'll believe.
Either way, I'll just continue being confident and strong. I know my worth, and I don't need anyone else to tell me what to do or what to feel. Let me live my life for the ones who didn't get the chance to.
After the little pep talk I gave myself, I got up and got ready for the day. Once I was done I went into the living room with a bright smile on my face.
"How are you, Jinji?" Jeno asked.
"I'm amazing Jene! How about you?" I replied.
"Our Jinji is back!!" Jaemin yelled. I scrunched my nose while still smiling. Luckily my bright smile and attitude helped the other boys be cheerful as well.
After some breakfast we went to the practice room.

The photo shoot went really well. I looked very elegant but goofy as well.
I went onto the nct account and checked the posts, which had the picture of me on it. I pressed it and looked at the caption.

I just shook my head at my phone before turning on some music on through my headphones. I was laying on the couch by myself since the others are in their rooms.
Because of the silence.. I ended up sleeping :)
The day of the comeback
We just dropped our album 2 hours ago and it was already #4 on the charts. On the nct dream instagram post the comments are pretty much flooded and the majority of people really like me. Tomorrow we're recording and releasing the dance practice, and also we will do the first vlive with me as a member.
It's been 6 hours and now and Jeno was checking if we hit #1.
"Guys.." Jeno said.
"Hm?" Chenle asked.
"We hit #1 on 4 platforms." He replied. The boys started jumping up and down and making noises while I smiled at them. Renjun hugged me and picked me up, while spinning around.
"JINJI THIS IS YOUR FIRST COMEBACK AND WE HIT #1!!" He yelled.
"I KNOW RENNIE AND I'M THRILLED BUT THERE IS A FAN ABOVE ME PLEASE PUT ME DOWN!!" I shouted back in fear. The fan almost hit my head but luckily Renjun put me down.
"You don't seem as excited as the rest of us?" He asked.
"Rennie I am extremely happy.. but I don't think anyone could show happiness like you guys. Usually you are the calm ones!" I replied making them laugh. After they calmed down a bit there was a fast knock on the door.
"I'll get it." I announced. I walked towards the door and immediately got picked up by someone that was yelling and hugging me tightly.
"#1!!" The person yelled. I couldn't see much because my head was right in front of the door frame.
"Yah put me down!" I shouted.
"Sorry Jinji im just SO FREAKING HAPPY FOR YOU GUYS!!" Lucas said. The others walked behind me.
"Thanks man!" Jeno thanked Lucas as they did a handshake.
