#22 - Huang Renjun

Today the boys told me that Lucas and Ten are going to be watching us practice. I got dressed and left my hair down, with a black hat on. My outfit was a neon orange long sleeve with some black cargo pants. When I was done I left my room and the boys were all ready.

We walked to the practice room and Renjun told Ten and Lucas to come to here. We started practicing the comeback dance while waiting for them to get here. When the dance ended the door opened.

"That's awesome!" Lucas yelled while clapping. He spotted me and walked over quickly.

"Wah so you're the 22nd member!" He said while looking down at me.

"Hello! I'm Jinji." I greeted with a bow.

"I'm Lucas!" He replied. I laughed, already knowing his name. Everyone was right about him though, he is very energetic. He smiled at me before Ten came over.

"Hello Jinji!" He said.

"Hi Ten." I replied with a bow.

"Wow Ten she's almost taller than you." Jisung said behind me.

"Boy your just mad that you can almost touch the ceiling in this room." I answered.

"Nah not really. You guys are just short." He replied. I stuck my tongue out him and he let out a eye smile.

"Shall we practice then?" Jeno asked us. We both just nodded at him and got in position.

We finished our group dance and Ten and Lucas were very proud, and shocked that I was that good.

"Jinji-ah can you show us a solo dance?" Lucas asked. I nodded and went over to the phone. I put on Pretty Little Fears by 6lack and then went to the center.

Once I was done with that dance I went back to the boys.

"You're really good. I never expected that." Ten said.

"Thank you." I replied with a smile.

We ended up talking for a while about certain things, then we started the second song. This one was a bit more challenging but nothing I couldn't figure out with some practice.

For the rest of the day we kept going through the choreography of the two songs on the comeback album.

When we got back to the dorm we all showered and ate and then eventually went to bed.

Two weeks later

I am still doing fine with the dancing. I have gotten very close with all of the dreamies and we're all like siblings. Nothing much has happened apart from practicing everyday. I'm a bit closer with nct 127 and Lucas and Ten. In fact Lucas is my best friend now.

Today we got a break day, so I asked my girl friends that trained as well to hang out. They of course agreed and now I was sitting in a café waiting for them.

The first one that was here was my longest known friend. She is Chinese but speaks fluent in Korean.

"Hey girl!" She yelled when she saw me. She ran over and hugged me tightly.

"I missed you so much I'm gonna cry!" She said.

"I missed you too." I replied while hugging her back.

"Hey lesbians." We heard our other friend behind us say.

"Hey!" Huixiao said to Mina.

"Oh my god we're back. It's been almost two months since we've hung out all together!" Mina explained.

"I know. I missed you guys so much. I've only been with boys for the entire time." I replied.

"How is all of that going? Like now that you're not a trainee anymore it must be hard. Especially being the only girl out of like 22 people." Mina asked.

"It's not bad. The dreamies are actually really amazing and mature. They're all like my brothers and I have grown a strong love for them all. The rest of nct too. They're like family now." I explained.

"Is there anyone that you have your eyes on?" Huixiao asked.

"Not out of the boys." I replied. They both looked at me with big eyes and I just laughed.

"I'm joking there's no girls either. Although I gotta say the love I have for Aisha has only grown stronger." I told them.

"Bro what if you meet everglow once everyone knows about you?" Mina asked.

"I wouldn't hesitate to ask Aisha to marry me wherever we are." I replied. They both laughed at my answer.

(a/n basically jinji is aisha biased and everglow is the only girl kpop group she stans. she is also bisexual)

For the rest of the day we all just hung out like how we used to before all of this.

When I went back to the building I bumped into Johnny.

"Hey Jinji!" He said.

"What's up John?" I asked.

"Ceo-nim was looking for you." He replied.

"Uh oh. I'll go to his office now then." I told him. I honestly felt scared. I haven't spoken much to him since before I was in nct. I left Johnny and started walking to his office. I knocked on the door of his office, which was answered with a 'come in.'"

"Hello Ceo-nim. I was told you were looking for me?" I asked as I went towards his desk.

"Yes. Have a seat please." He said. I obeyed and sat down in the chair in front of his desk.

"So as you know your debut is going to be this month." He spoke. I nodded.

"Well I was wondering how everything is going lately." He continued.

"Great. I already know all of the songs including the choreography and lyrics." I replied.

"That's great. Are the boys treating you well?" He asked.

"Definitely. They're all like family." I told him.

"That's great. I'm glad. Anyways, would you be okay with a photo shoot this weekend which would be posted on the nct instagram?" He asked.

"Sure. That's fine with me." I replied. Even though the idea made me feel sick to my stomach because of all of the fans I knew it'd come out sooner or later.

"Great. So Saturday you'll have a photo shoot at xxx building at 3." He explained.

"Okay. Thank you." I said with a bow. He nodded and let me leave. I walked back to the dorm and laid down on the couch.

"Jinji-ah ceo-nim was looking for you." Chenle said.

"I know. I just talked to him." I replied.

"Oh. Is everything okay?" He asked.

"Yeah. I have a photo shoot Saturday." I told him.

"Oh that's not bad. Why didn't our manager just tell you?" He wondered.

"Because it's gonna be posted on instagram." I answered with my head still hung upside down.

"WHAT?!" Chenle and Jisung that were both on the couch yelled.

"Yep." I spoke.

"Don't be neRVOUS!" Jisung yelled trying to calm be down, as if he wasn't more scared.

"You clown, youre more worked up then me." I replied.

"Sorry. That's just a big deal." He told me.

"I know. I'm petrified of the fans. They're going to hate me. I already know it." I said holding back tears.

"Hey.." Chenle started, lifting my head up before it pops from the blood rush.

"They can't hate you if you're yourself. You are funny, sweet, caring, unique, talented, and most importantly you're Jinji." He finished. I stared into his eyes that just looked so pure. I broke down right there. I don't know if I was just overwhelmed in that moment or if it was Chenle's words but I just broke down. I started sobbing. Chenle picked me up and held me with my face on his shoulder so I could cry.
