#22 - Huang Renjun

Today my parents were coming to spend the day with us. I woke up extra early to clean a bit. When I was talking to the ceo about my parents coming, he told me the member who i'd be doing the duet with. I got dressed and went to the nct 127 dorm where I told this specific member to meet me at the door.

"Hey!" I said when I got there.

"Hey Jinji!" Yuta replied.

"Should we go tell the others?" I asked.

"Sure. Dreamies or 127 first?" He asked.

"127." I replied, knowing they'd take it better than the dreamies. He just nodded and we went into the dorm.

"Hey guys look who I found." Yuta yelled. The boys all looked away from the tv and saw us.

"Hey Jinji!" They all yelled.

"We have some news for you guys." Yuta told them. He put his arm around me, and I knew why. He wanted to make it seem like we were together, and then tell them we're duetting. I leaned into him and smiled at them all.

"Oh god don't tell me you two are dating." Mark said as the others faces dropped.

"Nope! All though we'd be the perfect anime couple.." Yuta answered.

"Anyways.." I started, gaining their attention.

"You guys remember that duet that I was supposed to be with a member?" I asked them. They nodded.

"Well that member is Yuta." I told them.

"Wow that will be so cool! Will it be in Japanese then?" Haechan asked.

"We haven't even wrote it yet, Donghyuck calm down." I replied.

"Well if Jiji is comfortable with singing and writing in japanese than maybe." Yuta told them.

"Don't worry though it will most likely be in Japanese." I said. Yuta looked down and smiled at me which I returned.

"Alright lets go tell the dreamies!" Yuta spoke.

"Bye guys!" I yelled to them all as I headed to the door.

We walked to the dorm and talked about some stuff on the way. When we got there Jeno, Chenle, Renjun, and Jisung were at the table.

"Where's Jeno?" I asked.

"In his room." Jisung replied.

"JENO!!" I yelled loudly. He came running out of his room, hair still messy from sleep.

"WHAT HAPPENED??" He shouted and looked around.

"Sit down." I instructed and pointed at the table. He gulped and walked quickly to the table.

"So as you all know about that duet I told you about a while ago." I started. They nodded.

"Well here's my partner." I finished and locked arms with Yuta.

"Yuta? That's an odd pair." Chenle said.

"What? How?" I asked.

"Both foreigners." He replied.

"Girl I-" I said.

"Well I think you guys will do great." Renjun told us.

"Thank you." Me and Yuta said at the same time.

"Do you have mind powers? Why does this happen so often?" Jisung asked.

"Relax bro I'm not Saiki." I told Jisung which made Yuta laugh, because he knew the anime I was talking about.

Later

My parents just texted me telling they were outside the building. I quickly went down to the bottom floor and met with them, hugging my mom first.

"I missed you so much." My mom said while starting to cry.

"Mom don't cry!" I said pulling away from the hug.

"Jinji!" My brother yelled from the other side of the car. He ran over to me and I immediately pulled him into a tight hug.

"I missed you too." He said through chuckles.

"Where's my hug?" My dad asked. I let go of my brother and hugged my dad too.

"We all missed you, pumpkin." He said.

"Let's go meet my group mates!" I told them. They just nodded and followed me up to our dorm.

"Oh um dad you're gonna have to speak in korean. They're not good with english." I told my dad, since he's the only one who rarely speaks korean.

"My pronouncing isn't great but okay." He replied. I opened the door and walked in, the boys already knowing I went down to get them.

"Boys! They're here." I told them. They walked over to us and bowed at my family behind me.

After they all introduced themselves my dad had already fell in love with them. Complimenting how they're all so friendly and good looking and how any of them would be perfect for me to marry. The boys just smiled and listened to the rambling man.

"Dad please! They're like my brothers." I told him, embarrassed.

"Okay fine but I think it'd be great if you married one of them. Like here for example-" My dad started speaking nonsense to me.

Author POV

Jinji's mom saw the boys watching her father ramble so she went over to them.

"Should we leave these two here to argue?" She asked softly to all the boys. The boys just nodded and went to the dining room with Jinji's mom and brother.

"I'm sorry about him. He's always like that when it comes to Jinji and boys. He just really wants her to marry a boy that he can bond with, rather than a girl." Her mom explained.

"It's alright. He seems really friendly and like a good father." Jeno replied with his charming smile.

"I wish I looked like you boys. Maybe I could've been an idol with Jinji then." Eiji said while admiring the boys' faces.

"But you're more handsome. You have a very masculine jawline that I would die to have." Renjun told the younger boy. He knew that the boy felt insecure- because Jinji had told them earlier.

"Thank you." Eiji replied. Little did they all know, Jinji had guided her father to the bathroom a minute ago and was listening in on their conversation. She smiled hugely as a tear came out. Her brother was so precious to her that hearing them being nice to him made her heart nearly burst. She thought about everything for a minute before forcing herself to regain herself and go out to them.
