#22 - Huang Renjun

Today I was told we were going to be learning the choreography for nct dreams new comeback, which I will be included. It's still 2 months away but better safe than sorry.

I already listened to the lyrics of the main song and the part that I would be rapping to, and its fairly easy.

We got into a position where I was in the back so I could see how it was gonna work. I just watched and followed what the boys were doing and eventually I could do the beginning. My part was towards the end so I could learn the whole beginning normally like the others. We paused for a minute and they explained what I would do for my part. I just went up to the front, rapping my part. I had to spin around at the end with my legs crossed and stand right next to Jeno. It wasn't bad at all.

We started from the beginning again and this time we ran through my part. I ended up pulling it off like I had known the part for years. We continued doing it step by step at the end and within the next 2 hours we were finished with that dance.

"I can't believe we have a dance down with a new member in 1 day." Jisung said.

We kept going over the dance to get it down perfect. Today we just needed to work on one dance. While we were getting ready to leave Jeno mentioned something.

"Hyung who are we gonna lift, for the part in One Second?" He asked Renjun.

"Jinji, I think." He replied, making me look up in confusion.

"What do you mean lift?" I asked with fear evident in my voice.

"Oh not much, we might just have to lift you up and over Jeno while he's bending down." Renjun explained. I felt a bit scared but I trusted these guys enough.

"Fine but so help me god if you drop me." I replied. They just laughed and shook their heads indicating that they wouldn't.

"That's the third one on our album so we'll practice that later on anyways." Jaemin told me. I just nodded and swung my bag over my shoulder.

"Yah you're like those school girls that are really cool and everyone wants to be with them or be them." Chenle told me.  I thanked the younger boy and ruffled his damp hair.

I let the boys go ahead in walking because I still wanted to practice dancing. I went over to the phone and played a song that my little brother used to beg me to play for him.

It was a spanish song, and even though he barely knew any words of the language he still loved the song. It was Con Calma by daddy yankee & snow.

I started doing the dance, not knowing someone was at the door. I continued dancing my heart out. This was a more challenging dance, so I ended up feeling weaker at the end.

Once that dance was done I kept doing more and more, until I felt like I couldn't physically move. I shut off the lights and made sure everything was done before dragging myself back to the dorm. I walked in and Jisung and Chenle were on the couch while the others were in their room or kitchen. I walked into my room and got some clothes, also starting a shower.

When I was finished in the shower I threw myself down onto my bed. My wet hair still up in the towel. Someone knocked on my door and I just yelled 'come in' instead of getting up. The door opened and Renjun walked in, sitting on the edge of my bed.

"We started to get worried. It's almost 10 and you didn't answer any of us." He explained.

"Sorry. I was just dancing and I lost track of time." I said while looking up at him.

"Don't push yourself too far. These upcoming months are probably going to be difficult for you." He told me. I just nodded and played with my blanket.

"Are you hungry?" He asked. I just shook my head telling him no. I usually don't like eating after dancing for that long.

"Well get some rest then." He said standing up and going toward the door.

"Goodnight, Rennie." I spoke.

"Goodnight, Jinji." He replied.
