Entry 18 (Stephanie)

Two hours after my father's incredible reappearance, all eight of us are sitting around kitchen table. We're not saying much, and the police are still here. Dad was taken away, and all the guys were fine. Between the four of them, they managed to break his nose and cheekbone.

"Ms. Trump?" A police officer calls.

"Yes?" I immediately stand up, Calum following me.

"We have some good news and some bad news."

"Okay?"

"The good news is that he will be arrested for child abuse. The bad news is that he still isn't confessing to beating you."

"But, he did. He did beat me, so why does he need to confess? Criminals get sent away to jail for a lifetime without confessing."

"We realize, and technically, he doesn't need to, I was just telling you. He's not confessing."

"I still have some scars if you need proof."

"We have multiple witnesses, there's no need for that."

"Alright then. But he is still going to jail, right? I'm not going to be afraid of him anymore?"

"For seventy to eighty years."

"That's great, Steph!" Calum says from behind me.

"Yeah, but isn't that a long time? I thought he would only go ten to twenty for beating me."

"Actually, that's not just for child abuse. We also found him with seventy-three dollars worth of cocaine in his pockets, and, his alcohol level is above legal, while he was driving."

"So, child abuse, drug possession, and drunk driving?" Calum sums up behind me.

"Exactly. He will obviously get some medical attention for his cheek and nose, and then he'll be whisked off to jail. You boys did a good job, protecting your friend. That was something a gentleman would do." The officer says to Calum.

"Thank you, Officer. I would do anything to protect my Stephanie." Calum says and quickly kisses my head.

"And Stephanie, you did a good job nursing Calum's wound like that. Just like a lady should."

"Thank you." I smile.

"Now, we've gotten him in handcuffs and we have filed charges, along with decided how long to send him to jail. We'll be leaving now, Stephanie."

"Thank you so much, Officer. I am so much more relived now that I know he's no longer an attacker to me."

"Just doing my job, I'm glad I could help." He smiles and walks away, down the hallway towards the stairs. I smile and walk back inside, where my other six friends are, waiting for our return. As they see me, they start questioning us.

"What did the officer say?" Ashton asks.

"Yeah, is your dad still a free man, or more like nah?" Avery adds.

"Officer said that Dad was not confessing to hitting me.-"

"How could he not confess to that?! It's so obvious, and any person with brain cells could notice, by the way he was when he came here, that he did something bad to you!" Luna bursts out.

"Luna, calm down. I'm not sure why he hasn't confessed, but he just didn't. It doesn't matter, because either way he's being arrested."

"How long?" Izzy asks.

"Seventy to eighty years." I answer.

"That's a really long time." Luke says.

"Yes, but that's not only for child abuse. There's also some seventy-three dollars worth of cocaine in his pockets and his alcohol blood level over the legal limit to drive in thrown in the mix."

"He had drugs, and was drunk off his ass?" Avery asks.

"Yeah, my dad has never had his life together." I quickly explain.

"Oh, the officer also said that we did a good job keeping him off Stephanie." Calum says, looking between Michael, Luke, and Ashton.

"Hell yeah we did." Michael says.

"Yeah, guys, I can't thank you enough for that. He would have matched in here and taken me if you didn't do that," I say, and they mumble a response, "And Luna, for taking me upstairs to call the police, and Avery and Izzy as long as Luna again to keep me away from him without getting physical," The all say 'you're welcomes', "Seriously, thank you all."

"Oh, Steph, stop thanking us! We're your friends, we do this stuff, we have to. It's in the job description." Izzy says.

"Well, maybe if I didn't have such a crazy father you wouldn't have to deal with suicidal friends, or comas, or fight off fathers so he doesn't kill her." I mumble.

"And you know what, Stephanie you make our life such an adventure." Ashton says.

"Okay, now that the father from Hell is out of the way, who wants pizza?" Luna yells. Everyone agrees that's a good idea, and Luma orders four pizzas, one cheese, one pepperoni, one sausage, and one extra cheese. After she hangs up, we sit down to watch sine good quality movies: Ferris Bueller and Dirty Dancing.

It was a fun night.
