(Next chapter will be last chapter, bc I plan my stories as I go. Maybe a chapter or two ahead. So I've decided, since I've sealed up the plot, and since Steph is no longer suicidal, and her and Cal love each other, it must end soon, or else it would just drag on. End it on a high note.)
Entry 22 (Stephanie)
In honor of today, the last day of the year, I gathered all my ducklings into a room to celebrate. All eight of us are currently waiting for it to be officially 2015. Right now, it's 10:30. We have an hour and a half to go. Game on.
"Alright, Steph, best thing about 2014." Luke challenges me.
"Um, definitely watching my father walk away with his wrists in cuffs." I answer.
"Good answer." Izzy says.
"My favorite thing that happened in 2014 was when Stephanie agreed to date me." Calum says.
"Best decision ever." I say and lightly kiss him.
"I liked it when Stephanie woke up from her coma." Luna says.
"Okay, not every favorite moment from the year has to do with me." I say, suddenly feeling very popular.
"It's kind of hard not to, it's been a Stephanie full year." Avery says.
"Well, at least the last few months." Michael agrees.
"Okay, I got a non-Stephanie related one. The time us guys went hitch hiking and got picked up by some really hot chick." Ashton says.
"Ash, I think that happened in December of '13." Calum says.
"Yeah, because o remember talking about what I was giving Ave for Christmas." Michael says.
"Sorry bud, but that was definitely last year."
"Oh. Well, then, yeah, when Steph woke up."
"Wait, you prefer being in a car with a hit girl than one of your best friends waking up from a coma?"
"Oh course not, but I was trying to come up with a good memory that didn't involve your coma, or your father."
"How about that time we all made cupcakes together, and by the end of it, my face was covered in icing." Avery says.
"Or that swimming party all eight of us had together at Luke's mums house, where we put three gallons of soap in the water." Luna adds.
"I got in a lot of trouble that day, it wasn't funny!" Luke yells.
"I guess it was a pretty good year. I had a lot of fun, and I was suicidal for most of it."
"Ah, the power of friendship." Michael says.
"Yeah, you guys are pretty great to me," I point to Luna, "You helped me get over my worst fear," I point to Cal, "You helped me realize that being suicidal isn't worth it," And then I wave my hands in front of all the boys, "You beat up my worst fear," I wave my hands in front the girls, "You take hella good care of me, and you listen well," I point to Mike, Calum, and Luna, "You three saved me from jumping off the building, you all helped me when my dad visited, and you all have been there for me. So thank you, for being fucking awesome." I finish.
"What's your worst fear?" Luke asks.
"My dad." I answer nonchalantly, even though that's definitely something you shouldn't be afraid of.
"Oh, yeah, we did do that. That was definitely done." Ashton giggles.
"I can't believe we successfully beat up a man like him. He was pretty muscular." Michael says.
