Entry 10 (Calum)

It's been exactly a week since Stephanie has fallen into this state of being unresponsive that we like to hide the truth of just how much it hurts behind the word coma. I have been in here everyday, but of course, so have the others. Separately. This time, we've decided to go in, together.

The seven of us walk through the doorway and silently stand, staring at the girl in the bed. Her chest is moving up and down steadily, but nothing else about her moves.

"Steph, we really miss you." Luke is the first one to speak up. We all move to her side and crowd her. I take her hand in mine, just as I usually do.

"I wish I hear your voice again. I really need some good styled Stephanie advice." Avery says, looking over at Luke.

"Yeah. Remember what you used to say? That I have the maximum capacity of love inside of me? Because of the saying 'I love you to the moon and back' and they call the moon Luna. But, Steph, you're that love. You're so easy to love. You're so happy all the time. You're always willing to help and you give the best advice." Luna says.

"See, Steph, I'm not the only one that loves you. Please wake up. If you don't do it for yourself, or for me, do it for these guys. We all miss you." I say.

"And although, physically, you're here, you're not here. We can't see you smile when Ashton makes a stupid joke or you cringe your nose when Luna and I make out on your couch when we thought we were alone." Michael adds.

"Steph, we hoped that if all seven came here that same time, you couldn't resist at least making some kind of movement." Izzy says.

"Just something. A pick up of heart beat, a squeeze of your hand. We'd feel in. Calum is holding one hand and Izzy has the other. We would know. But, please, Stephanie, please." Ashton pleads to my girlfriend to wake up.

And after all seven of her friends have spoken, we wait for her to respond. We're waiting for about thirty seconds before Izzy's face lights up. "She's moving!" She says. I get excited and then, my hand gets a squeeze.

"Guys, mine too!" I say. I get pushed out of the way by an eager Luke. Eventually, everyone gets to feel Stephanie moving for themselves. Everyone in the room is boasting with energy and glowing with happiness. I, myself, was so happy that I just kept smiling and staring at Stephanie.

My princess is approving!

yay

"I'll go tell the doctor!" Michael announces and runs out of the room. He returns quickly with a doctor and a nurse at his side.

"Okay, I know you're all excited about your friend, but please quiet down so I can run a few quick tests." The doctor says. "Ms. Trump, can you hear me?" No response."Stephanie, can you move your hand for me just like you did for these guys?" Steph makes movement with her hand, but there is nothing else. "So you can hear me. Do you think you can move anything else besides your arm?" Nothing else happens. "Okay, everything is fine. Obviously, she can hear and understand me. But, she can only respond through her hands. This is an improvement. Today is the one week mark. I do not believe she will wake up today, but she will wake up soon." The doctor says.

"So, she knows everything we've told her?" I ask.

She knows I love her?

"Yes."

"Okay, thanks, Doc."

"You're welcome. I'll let you continue." He says and they both leave. Voices erupt from everyone in the room, expect for me. (And Steph, too. Obviously.)

She knows I love her?

She can respond, but only through her hands?

We can have a legit (kind of) conversation with her through yes or no questions!

An idea pops into my mind. I lean down to her ear and whisper to her so no one else can hear besides her.

"Hey, Steph, it's Cal. Based off what Doc just said, you can hear me. And you can respond with your hands only. Also, you know what we've told you. So, this is my idea. I'm going to ask you yes or no questions. Give me a thumbs up for yes or okay, and thumbs down for no. Okay?" She gives me a thumbs up. "Good, good, baby. So, I've told you I love you, right?" Thumbs up. "Do you love me?" A small hesitation, but then there's a thumbs up.

She loves me.

And I love her, too.

That's all that really matters.

A/N: awawawaw.

HEY IM SURE THIS IS ACTUAL POSSIBLE BUT LET'S JUST SAY IT IS.

Guys we're getting closer to her wake up dateeeee!

It's. So. Freaking. Cold. In. Pennsylvania. Usually in November it's not this cold. This is January weather. PA IS SO BIPOLAR.

UPDATE! I don't think my cat likes me. :(

Hope you enjoyed! See you next update!
