Nine

Andrea's POV

"Oh my God." I groaned pagpasok namin ni Francine sa suite room namin.

Binaba ko ang bag ko beside my bed before looking back at Francine.

"Are you okay, Chinny?" I asked her.

"Y-yeah." Medyo nautal nyang sagot. "I'm okay."

"Is it Kyle and AC?" I asked, and I saw how fast her expression shifted.

"Hindi ah!" Agad na deny ni Francine saken.

"Hey, sakin ka pa ba magde-deny?" Tanong ko sakanya.

She sighed before nodding yes.

"Just that, we had a moment nung party tapos parang something naman pala sila ni AC."

"Chin," I called her since she looked away she mentioned AC's name. "Maybe close lang sila or something. Magkakabata tayong lahat diba? The Zobels just went to abroad kaya nahiwalay sila."

"What about you and Darren?" She asked and I got caught off guard. "We know that he likes you, Andrea."

I sat at my bed and looked back at Francine na nakatayo pa din on her bed side.

"Chinny, alam mo naman na hindi si Darren ang gusto ko." I tell her. "I like him as a friend, a brother ganun."

Back and forth sa Pilipinas ang mga Zobels. Kaya halos bihira namin makasama sina AC and Darren growing up.

Everytime na umuuwi sila dito, Darren always finds time na puntahan ako, ayain ako lumabas and all that.

Then, sa isang Zobel event, he made a surprise for me and announced na he wanted to court me. Sobrang nagulat ako since unexpected na ganun na pala ang tingin saken ni Darren. I tried to give him a chance, I can say na he tried his best. But, at the end of the day, hindi mo pwedeng ipilit ang pusong may iba naman talagang gusto.

Sa pagbalik nila ni AC, I'm not sure what will happen. I can see na gusto nyang subukan na i-court ako ulit, basing from his actions/gestures kanina. Pero I don't want Seth to get the wrong idea about me and Darren.

"Anong gagawin naten?" Tingin ko kay Francine na kakaupo lang sa kama nya.

"Basta ako, I will focus on school." Sagot ni Francine saken. "Yun ang mahalaga ngayon."

I nodded, tama naman kase sya. I can't be distracted with this happenings. We need to focus sa school to get good grades.

Nabasag ang silence sa room nung sabay na tumunog ang phone namin ni Francine.

We both grabbed our phone to see an invite text from AC. Looks like Darren and her are gonna throw a party on the weekend. It looks like a welcome home party they set up for themselves.

"Looks like the whole school is invited." Tingin ni Francine saken.

Then my phone dinged again.

Hoping to see u on our party.

Darren

"It's Darren." Sabi ko kay Francine before putting down my phone.

Francine and I headed out of room, then we saw Ate Kath and Ate Liza sa dining area.

"Oh, kain na." Aya ni Ate Kath.

Agad naman kaming umupo and sumabay sakanila for late night eats.

"I heard the Zobels are throwing a party?" Sabi ni Ate Liza.

"Yeah." Sagot ni Francine. "Darren, and AC sent us an invite."

"Pupunta ba kayo?" Tanong ko sa mga Ate namin.
