After that small talk with mommy, sabay kaming tumungo sa dinning hall. Umupo ako sa tabi ni mommy, samantalang nasa kabesera si daddy. Sa left side namin nakaupo si Kuya Nathan at Ate Xia, katabi nila si Alice, Lance at Lexine. While on our side ay si mommy, ako at katabi ko pala si Jayce followed by Sarah, Kathie, Zander and Cassy.
"How old is your daughter Zander?" My dad asked.
"She's turning six po." magalang na sagot ni Zander. I wonder, Katarina and him got married but why didn't loved each other?
"I'm sorry Sarah, but is it okay if I asked where is her mother?" Daddy asked again.
I looked at Sarah as we continued eating. "It's fine tito." Sarah smiled and continue eating.
"Uhm she's in Pangasinan po, Tito." Zander seems fine answering my daddy's questions. I know he's doing it for Sarah. Anak na rin ang turing nila kay Sarah.
"You two are married ba, anak?" Singit ni mommy. "I'm sorry if we're like this ha? We just don't want Sarah to get hurt again." paghingi ni mommy ng paumanhin.
Zander smiled and Sarah looked suprised with my Mom's words. "Yes po, but we are currently processing our divorce papers po. It's just that we are not meant for each other and our daughter understand it naman po."
Ang bata pa ni Kathie para maexperienced ang ganitong scenario ng buhay niya. She needs a complete family, but I know she can have a family with both Zanded at Katarina's future family soon.
"I want Tita Sarah po to be my second mommy. She gave me a lot of toys po and she loves me po." Kathie's small voice filled the four corners of our dinning hall.
We didn't expected that to happen. Nakakagulat pero nakakatunaw ng puso dahil alam ko this time, Sarah will be genuinely happy.
We finish eating and still we still haven'y moved on from what Kathie said. I saw how Sarah wiped her tears away and forcing herself to smile. Ngayon we are eating our desserts na. It's a chocolate ice cream and we have cut fruits too.
"Jayce and Zander, let's talk." untag ni Daddy sa katahimikan namin. Nakita ko rin na senenyasan ni Daddy si Kuya Nathan na sumama.
Mag p-protesta sana ako ng biglang hawakan ni mommy ang kamay ko. "It's fine. Mag uusap lang ang mga 'yan."
I looked at them leaving the dinning hall, I even saw one of our maid's na may dalamg food and wine na pasunod sakanila. Even Sarah is uneasy, nakakakaba pala ang ganito, kakasabi ko lang na hindi naman ako kinakabahan eh! Ano ba naman 'yan, daddy makes me worried at the same time scared.
"Now you know how it feels when dad did that to Nathan." Ate Xia commented. Ganito din ba naramdaman niya noon? Scary.
"Bakit pati ang bebe ko tita kasali?" Alice pouted. Yeah, that's right tinapik ni Kuya Nathan kanina si Lance eh. I didn't tell you guys that those two are fucking best buddy.
"Hayaan mo na Alice. Boys talk siguro. Now dahil tayo lang ang nandito let's talk about your lives girls, doon tayo sa may garden." pag aaya ni mommy. Tumayo naman kami kaagad at sumunod kay mommy.
Sarah and Kathie are being best buddy na ha? Hindi na mapaghiwalay, gladly magaling makisama si Kathie at nakuha agad ni Sarah ang loob ng bata.
"Mau, nakakatakot ang daddy mo kapag seryoso." bulong ni Lexine sa akin. I smiled at her before answering. "Gano'n lang talaga iyon pero mabait naman siya."
Totoo naman kasi talaga, mabait si Daddy 'wag lang gagalitin kasi you'll see the monsters in him. "True, ang scary pala ni Tito kapag seryoso siya, pero pogi pa rin." Cassy commented.
I laughed at their statements, I agree my dad looks handsome as always. Maganda rin si mommy eh, bagay na bagay sila. I admire their love story kasi they always find each other's arms after many trials. Kahit ang daming hadlang but in the end, sila at sila pa rin na dalawa ang nagkatuluyan.
True love can't make two people separate. 'Yan ang sabi sa akin ni mommy. If you found your true love kahit gaano pa kadami ang trials na dumating, it will always find a way to go back from where you belong. Sobrang lucky ko nga kay mommy at daddy, lahat ng alam nilang makakatulong sa amin ni ate binibigay nila. Kahit hindi na namin hingiin, ibibigay nila.
"So, kamusta ang parents niyo? Balita ko nasa New York silang lahat ah?" paunanh tanong ni Mommy. NYC ha? Nandoon ang iba pa naming relatives eh. I wonder how are they na.
"They're fine po, tita. Actually, they are planning to expand our family business na po. Pero arang ayaw pa nila Tita Lyn." Lexine answered.
"Oh, maybe because they thought it's too early? Ilang years na ba ang lumipas?" Mommy asked again. They all looked at me like they we're asking if it's fine for me if they answer.
"It's almost five years na po, Tita." mahinang sagot ni Cassy. Nagpapakiramdaman naman sila kong ano na ang susunod na usapan.
"Mommy, diba po five years ago I got operated?" I suddenly burst out. My mom looked at na para bang may nakakagulat sa sinabi ko. Tumango lang ito bilang sagot sa akin.
"Uhm, tita did you know who's the donor? Maureen wanted to meet the donor po eh. But she said that girl is sick too, maybe she was gone that's why she gave her eyes to Maureen." bulalas ni Sarah habang sinusubuan si Kathie ng icecream.
Bigla maman nagbago ang atmosphere na nakapalibot sa amin. I can sense that the aura become tensed. What the fuck happened? Napansin naman iyon ni Sarah that's why she decided to speak again. "Uh, nevermind tita." sabi niyang muli at ngumiti ng awkward.
Bigla kong narinig ang tawa ni daddy na malakas palabas sa bahay namin. Mukhang tapos na silang mag-usap at dito na sila tutungo. I looked at them and saw Jayce looking at me smiling. I smiled back, agad siyang lumapit sa tabi ko at bumulong ako sakanya.
"What did you talked about?" I whispered. "Boy's talk." he whispered back. I glared at him and the hell, he fucking laughed at me. Bad Jayce, bad.
"It's a secret baby." pahabol niya.
