Chapter 28

"Mom, are we still going to stay here?" My Eirine asked me while checking our things.

I nodded at her and looked at Jia who's currently seating in our couch. "Tagal mo, Mau." Bored na aniya.

I rolled my eyes on her, I stood up because i'm done checking our things already. "Lucian!" Tawag ko sa anak kong nasa kusina.

"Y-yes po?" He asked while hiding something in his back. I eyed him and glared at him, nilabas niya ang tinatago niya at nakita kong isang bar iyon ng chocolate.

"M-mommy, one lang po." Aniya sa kinakabahang boses. Honestly, I don't want them to eat sweets as much as possible gusto ko tolerated.

Tawa ni Jia ang narinig ko makalipas ang ilang segundo. "Ang cute naman mag tagalog! Kung 'di mo lang talaga kamukha tatay mo, naku!"

True to her words, kamukha nga ni Lucian ang tatay niya. While Eirine have my features but her eyes is smilir to Jayce's. Para akong pinagsakluban ng langit at lupa nung narealize kong mas nagiging kamukha ni Lucian si Jayce habang lumalaki ito. Mabuti na lang talaga at may Eirine na nakamana sa features ko!

"Just one okay? Come on, aalis na tayo." I answered him. Kinuha ko na ang mga maleta namin at sinamahan naman ako ni Jia sa pagbubuhat. Ang kambal naman ay naihatid na niya sa kotse bago kami magbuhat ng mga gamit.

"Hoy, sure ka na talaga ha?" Tanong niya ulit.

Ewan ko ba sa mga kaibigan ko, lagi na lang akong tinatanong kong sure ako. Aba sa malamang oo, pitong taon na nakalipas hindi pa ba ako sure? Itong mga ito talaga, maissue. I looked around in my house again before leaving. Ang dami kong memories aa bahay na 'to, dito kami tumira for seven years. Ang hirap iwan pero kailangan dahil may opportunity na naghihintay sa akin sa Pinas.

My phone keep on ringing, I took it out and saw Sirene's name in the screen, I answered it. "Hello, what is it?"

The other line is noisy but I can sense that she's in a shoot or what. "You're leaving yet you didn't even say a goodbye to your beautiful manager! How dare you!" Untag niya.

I laughed at her statement, beautiful manager your ass! "Whatever, I told you naman na bago kami umalis. Dami mo arte girl, ano 'te? Nakahanap ka na kapalit ko?"

Ang totoo niyan, Sirene scouted me 3 years ago. Nakita niya ako sa isang restaurant kumakain kasama ang mga bata. She also said that she knows me, galing rin pala sa Pinas ang gaga at naisipan lang pumunta rito.
"Oo sis! Ay grabe ang pak ng kaibigan mo, it's Cheska idiot! Hindi niya sinabi sayo?"

Cheska? I thought wala siyang balak mag model? At tsaka anak ng business man si Cheska, ano naisip ng babaeng yun? "Cheska Seralde?" Paniniguro ko.

"Oo, nagulat nga ako kasi tinawagan niya ako nung isang araw saying yes to my proposal. Anyway, ingat ka sa byahe! Ang mga inaanak ko ha, ingatan mo! Bye sis, love you!" Paalam niya sakin.

"Bye, ingat ka rin! Love you!" I said before ending the call.

I looked at rear view mirror and saw my twins eating chocolate. Pinaghatian nila ang isang chocolate bar na kinuha ni Lucian sa refrigerator kanina. I saw how dirty their hands is, I sighed and grab a wet tissue in the dash board.

"Kids, your hands are dirty." Iniabot ko sakanila ang wet tissue. Hindi ko sila tinulungan dahil gusto ko sila mismo ang gumawa ng bagay na kaya naman nilang gawin.

"Mommy, daddy is in the Philippines right? Are are going to meet him po?" Magalang na tanong ni Eirine.

I sighed and just smiled at them. Hindi ko alam kong kaya kong harapin si Jayce. He's trying to contact me through social media accounts but Sirene is the one who's handling them. She's just telling me about it, I've read his messages before. He stopped messaging my accounts maybe he realized it wasn't me who's holding it anymore.

We reached the airport already, luckily andun na sila Tita Kaye. Sila rin ang mag uuwi ng kotseng gimanit namin. Jia will going with us too, she's trying her best to move forward right now. "Jia, are you sure you're going with us?" I asked her bago tuluyang bumaba ng kotse.

Malungkot siyang ngumiti at tumango. "Yeah, wala na rin naman akong dahilan para mag stay dito."

I sighed so hard before going down. Binaba muna namin lahat ng gamit namin at nilagay sa cart bago ibaba ang mga bata. Mahirap na, baka mawala pa pasaway pa naman ang mga ito. I saw Tita Kaye waiting for us sa waiting area.

"Tita!" I hugged her. "Thank you tita for everything." I said and smiled at her genuinely.

"Anything for you, Mau." She turned her gazed to my twins who's currently roaming their eyes around. "Hey, twins. Aren't you going to say goodbye to Mommy La?"

My kids become attentive when they heared Tita Kaye's voice. Believe it or not, they both love Tita Kaye because she's giving them loads of toys and chocolates. Wala na akong magagawa doon dahil minsan nagagalit na sakin si Tita Kaye dahil hindi ko daw pinapakain ng sweets ang mga bata.

"Mommy La!" They both exclaimed and hugged Tita Kaye.

I saw happy my Tita Kaye is at the same time I know she's sad because Jia will be leaving again. Jia is suffering right now, she didn't gave up for the man she loved even for years. But recently, something painful happened and it affects her too bad. Imagine, waking up from coma and you had an amnesia. Ang masakit pa, sinubukan ni Jia naipaalala kay Calvin ang lahat. Isang taon ang ginugol niya para maalala ni Calvin si Jia, pero wala eh. Hindi nangyari, at ang malala pa Calvin fell in love with another girl and they bound to marry each other.

"Jia." Tito Rich called her daugther. I saw in my perepheral vision her siblings, Austin and Aya. They are twins too and five years younger than us.

"Yes dad?" Lumapit si tito sakanya at yumakap. Dama ko ang sakit sa yakap ni tito, alam kong ayaw nila sa desisyon ni Jia pero wala na silang magagawa dahil para rin naman sa anak nila ito.

"Take care okay? Always try to reach for us ha? And oh! Maureen!" Napalingon ko kay tito. "Alagaan mo pinsan mo ha? Tell me her whereabouts. You know how much I tressured her." Aniya, tumango ako bilang sagot.

Tinawag na ang mga passengers ng sasakyan namin kaya naman mabilis kaming nagpaalam sakanila. Binigay na rin ni Jia ng susi ng kotse kay Austin. I saw Austin and Aya tearing up nang tumalikod na si Jia sakanila kasama ang kambal.

I hugged them both and whispered. "Don't worry, i'll take care of your ate. You two, study well okay? Make your Ate Jia proud."

Tumango ang dalawa at dali-dali na akong naglakad palayo. Kumaway ako muli sakanila at dali-daling sumunod sa tatlo. This is it, i'm going to face what I left behind. After how many years, i'm going to see those people who betrayed me.

And I will be able to see Jayce, how pain changed me to become better. I am not Maureen Qital they met before, I am now the stronger Maureen Qital who is not afraid to face the cruel reality. I'm going to be their greatest downfall, and i'll make sure they will learned from my wrath. I was once used and now i'm going to play the game they started.
