Maureen's P.O.V

Have you ever like someone the moment you laid your eyes on that certain person? Well, I am kinda like that. The moment I saw the dashing man walking in the middle of the crowd I know already that like him. He's a playboy, that's what I heard from people around me.

"Mau, that's my your father's fave engineer." Bulong ni mommy saakin. Binalik ko ang tingin ko sa lalaking nakaagaw ng pansin ko. So siya pala ang laging bukambibig ni Daddy everytime we asked him about the company.

"Engineer Castro." I heard my dad called him. Umayos ng tayo si Mommy and she flashed a big smile on her face. I rolled my eyes, here we go again.

"I'm sorry i'm late." Seryosong sabi niya pero bakas parin ang respeto sa boses nito. Humalakhak si Daddy sa sinabi ng binata. Oh well, what do we expect? Syempre that's his fave engineer he won't get mad on that man. "It's fine, Engineer." Sagot ni Daddy. See? That's how it works, if my dad likes you, madami kang benefits.

"By the way, I want you meet my daughters." Dad looked at us, I have a sister, older than me. Pero three years lang ang agwat, and my ate is already freaking engaged with Kuya Nathan. After a long year, finally ikakasal na sila. The relationship that they had is like a roller coaster. But yeah, i'm still proud of them and I'm going to support them no matter what.

Hinila ni Dad si ate Xia. "This is Xia, my eldest." Pakilala ni Daddy. I saw how kuya Nathan shifted his attention in our place. So possessive, I saw how ate Xia gestured a friendly smile and a handshake. Nakita ko namang kumalma si kuya Nathan. Dad pulled me towards him. "And this is my bunso, Maureen." Pakilala ni Dad. I just smiled a bit. Mas gwapo pala siya kapag malapitan. Kanina I just saw him walking eh. Kaya I can't see if he's really gwapo. But yeah, he's gwapo plus mukhang mabait. "Nice to meet you." He said bago siya nakipagshakehands saakin. After that I excused myself and roam around.

"Mau, wait." I heard my ate Xia following me. I stop walking and wait for her. "What do you think about the guys?" She whispered on me. "I saw you staring at him earlier when he enter the crowd." She teased.

"Ate ano ba? Baka may makarinig sayo." But I can't help it, I smiled. "Well, I kinda find him attractive." I confessed. My ate smiled at me. "Crush mo siya." It's not a question, but a statement. Kilalang-kilala talaga ako ng ate ko.

"Anong pinagbubulungan niyong dalawa?" Supladong singit ni kuya Nathan. Ate Xia just rolled her eyes on him but kuya Nathan glared at her. Cute hahaha. "Si Mau kasi, crush yong engineer na pinakilala ni Daddy." Ate answered. "Oh, si Jayce? Kinabahan nga ako kanina kasi pinakilala ka ni Tito sakanya. Eh I know your type." Medyo inis na sabi ni kuya. We laughed at his statement.

"Engaged na nga kayong dalawa, kabado ka pa din kuya?" I tease him. He gave me a death glare and I raised my both arms. Defeated. Kuya Nathan doesn't really like my kind of jokes. Kinurot naman ako ni ate sa tagiliran.

"Go ahead, Mau. Alam ko namang kanina mo pa gusto magliwaliw." Natatawang sabi ni ate. I excused my self and roam around. I like parties, but this one made me bore. Puro oldies nandito, well it's for the business naman. Lumabas ako sa venue at pumunta sa park. It's kinda pretty here, super relaxing tignan. I sat on one of the benches, near the tree.

I took out my phone from my handbag and took a photo of the moon. I really like the moon, it's glowing. I posted it on my instagram account.

"You also like the moon?" I heard a baritone voice from my back. I immediately stood up and turn around to see who's behindml me, and to my surprise! It's him, my crush!

I compose my self before answering. "Yes." I plainly said. Tip no. 1 always act cool whenever the person you like is around. Huwag kang mataranta or magpahalatang bothered sa presence niya. He slightly smiled at me and sat on the bench. I also sat on the same bench but far from him.

"What are you doing here pala? Bored ka ba sa loob?" I suddenly asked. Don't get me wrong ha? Curious lang talaga ako. Kasi yong party, para sakanila 'yon e.

"Gusto ko makalanghap ng fresh air. Tsaka I feel suffocated sa loob." Seryosong sabi niya. Tama naman eh, nakakasuffocate sa loob. Puro plastikan ang nagaganap, even sa mga parties na napupunta ko, ganon din. But I still found myself enjoying because I have my friends with me. "Ikaw, bakit ka nandito?" Balik na tanong niya saakin. Nagulat pa ako dahil after he answer earlier hindi na ulit siya nagsalita.

"Same reason. But I just really want to took a photo of the moon." I simply said. He look at the moon, I can sense that he's off. I don't know, I just feel it. Tumango lang siya saakin. Maybe he has a girlfriend. Imposibleng wala dahil base sa narinig ko kanina he's a playboy.

My phone rang so I excused my self and aswered it. "Mau, let's go home. Nakapag paalam na ako kay Daddy and Mommy. Antayin kana lang namin sa labas." It's my ate. I said okay before ending the call. I shifted my glance to my Dad's fave engineer.

"Uh, mauna na ako sayo. Nice to meet you, Engineer." Paalam ko sakanya. He smiled lightly. "Okay. Nice to meet you too, Maureen."

OH MY GOSH! HE REMEMBERED MY NAME! I nod my head because of shocked and walk. He freaking remembered my name! Gosh! I can't believe it!

"What happen to you?" Kuya Nate asked when I entered his car. "Kuya Nate, the engineer remembered my name!" I excitedly said. "Ikaw malandi ka! Kaya pala ang tagal mo maglakad kasi nag eenjoy ka pa sa imaginations mo!" Natatawang sabi ni ate. Hindi ko na lang siya pinatulan, I know it's a joke. I don't want to ruin my mood. And my night ended just like that.
