Chapter 4 - Eyes

Peeta's POV:

I think I'm kind over Delly now. It was hard at first but then all of my amazing friends helped me out. And it turns out that none of them even really liked her too much anyway.

My friends are great. We've all hung out together since we were about seven, in primary school. All of us except one. Katniss. She was there on the first day back to school and Finnick immediately asked her to hang out with us. I was a bit rude I guess, but I was still trying to get over Delly at the time.

However, with Katniss I act cold towards her. Naturally. When she saw that I was being rude to her when we first met, she acts the exact same way I guess. And then I return it...? I want to be friends, but I can't be bothered at the moment. The time will come.

We're walking through the corridor now, me, Finnick, Cato, Marvel and Gale and I'm walking behind them all. Just thinking. Daydreaming you could call it. Or vision.

I see a brunette with her back to me, with a really stunning body. And then briefly she turns around and I'm hit with piercing and mysterioua grey eyes for a split second.

Finnick clicks his fingers in front of me.

"Peeta? Helloooooo? Earth to Peeta!" wavig his hand frantically.

I snap back to real life. "Hm? What?" I ask blankly.

"Thinking about a certain Delly..?" Cato says childishly.

"No actually. I don't know who. But wow." I stick out the word wow, trying to get back into this perfect daydream.

"Hm. Strange. Is it English next?" Marvel asks, bored.

"Yeah, come on," I sigh, giving up.

~in class~

When I walk in there's no spots left, as the guys all took their seats before me. I shake my bead at them jokingly and see the only spot is next to Katniss. Oh well.

I take my seat and she doesn't speak, not one word. Until the teacher asks:

"Katniss, what do those words mean to you?"

Her reply is instant. "That the man who murders three people wants to be with his lover, as the words say 'wear your rope necklace next to me', they will always be together even if they're dead. The idea in my opinion is really sweet, even though it's to do with death."

That was an amazing answer.

"Wow." Slips out before I can hold my tongue.

She turns around and looks into my eyes. And it hits me like a brick. There they are. The grey eyes I saw in my vision. We stay there for a 10 seconds, then she stops. "What are you staring at, Mellark?" She whispers slightly angrily, with something else that I can't put my finger on.

I look away and focus on the rest of the lesson.

Ahhhhh still don't know how long to make the chapters, these bits are a bit boring, gonna try to make them longer?

Not much happening, you'll see in the next chapter. ;)
