Chapter 12
I make my cars to go, not to stop

The first lap goes smoothly, with us ahead of them. The second lap comes around and it seems as though they used a booster to catch up.
"Damn they must have had an upgrade since the last time I was with them." I was frustrated and annoyed that I couldn't lose them. "How would you know their systems and cars?" Ace asks. I feel his gaze run over my face and then go back to my eyes. "Long story." I say as I hear gunshots being aimed at the car. "If your car gets damaged I'll buy you another one." I say as I slam the gas pedal down and hit 200 mph.
"It's fine." He says. My head is pushed up to his chest right now from the speed we're going right now.
We take another lap and the cars are now on either side of us. I look at both of them. "Yep, they definitely got some boosters on there, but I'm pretty sure that they used them all up about now." I say out loud. "You know, I have some turbo boosters on this car if you want to try it out." Ace says, nonchalantly about it. I glance at him incredulously. "You had turbo boosters on this car and you DIDN'T TELL ME!!!" I say to him. He chuckles a little bit. "Sorry. Completely slipped my mind." He says. "Ugh, we could have been down with this chase once we got on the highway, but whatever. Now when I tell you, use all your turbo boosters." I say, already having a plan formed in my mind.
I feel him nod and move one of his hands. I look back at the cars beside me waiting for the thing I know they're going to do.
