Chapter 39

It has been a long time. I am so glad to be coming back home.

I get on the plane and take my seat in first class. I know Laura wanted me to use her jet, but I just couldn't let her. She's already done so much for me, and I'm just glad I got to know her and her family, along with being a part of her family.

I took a seat next to the window, Ace sat down next to me. Jay and Zack sit behind us and Lee sits in the middle row. I think back to what Laura and Helena said to me yesterday.

He takes every chance he gets to be close to you, I hear Laura's voice in my mind. I smile to myself, already knowing that he does. "What you smiling about, Bella?" He asks with a curious face. "Nothing, just glad that I was able to get all you guys to be my friends." I tell him, smiling wider. He chuckles at me. "Yeah, and we're very lucky to have you, especially me." He whispers the last part to me. 

I chuckle at him. "I'm glad that I have you too. My life was boring until you came along and helped me defeat that bastard." I smile at him, leaning closer to kiss him.

"Hey Kate, is it alright if we call you Kate? Anyway, can we meet your aunt and cousin? I mean, I know this one here already met your cousin, but he hasn't met us." I hear Zack say right after me and Ace pull away from our little kiss. "I don't mind what you call me. Kate is fine. I also don't care if you guys join me on going to my aunt's house. She would probably want to meet the people who helped me." I tell him, knowing everyone else is listening to this conversation.

I see them all grin at me. "Haha, y'all are going with me, aren't you?" I ask them, already knowing the answer.

They nod their heads just as the flight attendant comes to greet us. "Any refreshments before we get into the air?" She asks, smiling a sickly sweet smile at us. She must be tired with this job. "No, but thank you miss. We'll let you know when we need something." I tell her kindly. She nods and goes up to the front of the plane. "Attention all passengers, we are about to be on our way. Please remain in your seats until the pilot tells you otherwise. Buckle up your seat belts and keep them on until a light in front of you tells you you can take it off. If you need anything, please look for me, or any other of the flight attendants on this plane. The bathrooms are at the back and front of the plane and the exits are on each side of the plane." She pauses, taking a breath, before beginning again. "Thank you for attending Airline flights, we hope you enjoy your trip." She smiles, putting the intercom away before walking away to do some of her tasks.

I lean back in my seat. "This is going to be a long ride." I mutter to myself, looking out the window.

"If you want, you can take a nap on me. I don't mind, I'll wake you up when we get there." Ace says from besides me. "Alright, but wake me up halfway so you can sleep and not have as much jetlag." I say, already leaning my head on his shoulder and falling asleep. His laugh was the only thing I heard before I succumbed to darkness.

I feel someone lightly shaking my shoulder. "Is it time to switch?" I ask, opening my eyes and letting out a yawn. "No. We're here." Ace tells me, pointing out the window. 

I see we’ve already landed and most of the people are getting out of their seats. "You should've woken me up at halfway." I say, turning my attention back to him. He shakes his head. "I wasn't tired." He simply says before getting up and pulling me along with him. 

The boys were already out of the plane, waiting on us. Taking Ace's phone, I quickly call a taxi before giving it back to him. I need a new phone.

We walk out of the building, having not brought any luggage with us. 

Walking towards the first taxi I see, the guy asks if I called for a taxi. I nod. He opens the door for me and the boys, letting them in. I sit on Ace's lap, facing the window as Zack and Lee sit in the back with us. Jay sits in the front.
