Chapter 27
New York. I would give the greatest sunset in the world for one sight of New York's skyline.

I have been on this plane for 3 hours and 30 minutes, and already I want to go back to the boys. I got up early this morning, before Ace even woke up, and packed my things and left to catch this plane.
I've been sitting by the window, next to this young mom, with a baby in her arms. I slightly smile at her. "You have a beautiful baby." I tell her. "Thank you. I've been raising her ever since her dad left us. She is my pride and joy and I love her so much." She tells me, looking down at the baby.
"I can tell, she looks so much like you. Just remember what I tell you, ok?" I say, looking at her straight in her eyes. She nods at me to tell me to keep going with what I'm going to say.
"No matter what, treat her like she is the princess in her own world, but don't let her do everything she wants. Set rules in place to protect her from the evils in the world until she is ready to handle it. And even though raising a kid might be hard, just think that at the end of the day, you get to watch her grow into a woman that you formed her to be." I smile at her. She looks astonished by what I just said.
"You don't look old enough to have a kid, but I wouldn't know, but you sound wiser than your age." She tells me, chuckling to herself. "Thank you for telling me that. I'll keep that in my mind forever." She tells me. Her eyes are honest and I believe her.
I smile and nod at her before turning back to the window.
The closer we get to New York, the more nervous I get, thinking about the worst. I shouldn't be thinking about these things. I should just be thinking about Ace, I'm going to be able to see him after all of this is settled.
"So, why are you coming to New York?" The lady asks me. Turning to her I answer vaguely. "I'm here to visit an old 'friend' of mine. I have something I need to say to him." I tell her, making sure she doesn't hear the venom in my voice when I say 'friend'.
She nods, understandingly. "Why are you coming to New York?" I ask her. "I'm actually here to help out a relative I have living here. She is having a hard time trying to find someone, and I think she needs to see some family to tell her that we have her back on whatever she decides to do when she finds them." She shrugs, looking down at her baby.
Nodding my head, I hear the intercom come on and tell us that we are going to be landing soon and to buckle your seatbelts.
I click the belt together and watch the lady put her baby into the other seat and buckle her and herself in.
Soon enough, we land in New York and the flight attendants are opening the exits, saying 'Please fly with us again and have a good day.' Patiently waiting for the lady and her baby to move, I say goodbye to them and leave.
I quickly get off the plane and get my luggage. Walking out I grab a taxi. Getting in I tell him, "Take me to the nearest hotel." He nods and starts driving. "Miss do you want a 5 star hotel or what?" He asks as we stop because of traffic. "5 stars will be fine." I tell him and look out the window.
As we slowly move through traffic, I remember the time when Laura and Isabelle helped me to get out of this place. Maybe, once I am done with all this, I can go see them, I think to myself and continue to watch the buildings pass by.
An hour later, we finally get to the hotel and get my luggage out of the car. I thanked the driver and had him the money I owe. "Have a great day." I tell him, closing the door and walking away with my luggage.
Walking through the entrance, I make sure to look straight at the security camera, so that Jacob's men who are monitoring it can know that I'm here, willingly. Walking up to the front desk, I wait until the front desk person notices me.
"Hi welcome, would you like a room?" The lady asks me. I nod my head. Yeah, I would like a room, I mean why else am I here with a suitcase, I thought to myself.
"How many days are you staying for?" She asks a better question. "Just one day." I say, handing her my card. She takes it and asks for my name, that I would like the room to be under. "Isabelle." I say. She nods and types some stuff on her computer before handing my card back and giving me a key to my room.
"We have breakfast that opens up at 6 and ends at 10 in the morning. If you have a problem with anything, please call us by typing the number one into the keypad on the room phone. I hope you have a nice stay with us and have a good day." She says to me. Nodding my head at her, I walk off to my room.
